No Knights or AMTL allowed? If I recall correctly, at least AMTL is currently only awaiting Approval, they have sent everything in already.

Please specify these:
Quote:
So an infantry stand is occupying a building, if at least one of it’s miniatures is partially in the
building. Avoid placing them ambiguously to save discussions.

Really? A MINIATURE of the infantry stand? Guys, this is 6mm, shouldn't the base be enough? I think this could lead to some really stupid discussions during the game if stands slip a bit because someone bums the table by accident for example.

Quote:
Transports will have to drive over infantry stands for the infantry to embark. If the infantry is in
terrain i.e. claiming a cover save, the transport will have to make a terrain test, if the terrain calls
for it.

Is touching enough or does the transport have to physicly roll over the whole base? The rules state that the first is enough and the second would penalize players with larger bases but I want to be sure.

These are the approved lists for the Tournament Pack 2014.
I will not wait for any list to be released two day before tournament. For the same reason the rules are the Tournament Pack 2013 and not the forthcomming 2014.

That's the official ruling in the rules. If the game deteriorated that much, that a slipped stand causes a debate, than using bases will not help anyway. By the way it absolutely doesn't matter where you put the border, once you bum the stable any stand that isn't placed securely in the terrain, will slip out. Just make sure the stand is securely in.
But feel free to discuss it with your opponent. But if you do not agree on a way, the way above stands.

Thank's for that. I checked the FAQ. And it says it's possible to load if only parts are accessible. I will not go against the FAQ, without good reason. I'll remove the paragraph asap.

Who is on the German team? Also is there anywhere showing examples of German tournament lists?

Iron Duke - Mathias
Gazrak - Andreas
Viper - Kai
Brumbaer - Stephan

Viper isn't registered at taccom, gazrak is, but not active and Iron Duke is not very active.

We do not have anything comparable to Epic-UK and the web community is not tournament oriented.
I'm not aware that there are any army-list discussions or lists used at tournaments on the web.
There is a German Tournament organization side that ranks the players and our 4 players are in the top 5 places for Epic. But he German tournament scene is much much smaller and less competitive than the UK scene. I'd say Iron Duke is the one player to be able to hold his own in the Epic UK league. Largo_W may be an other one - he is lower ranked in that list, but mostly because you have to participate regularly to keep your rank.

What I usually choose when playing SMs, might be at the Austrian website or probably even somewhere here or on Epic-UK. But my typical SM, Imperial and Eldar lists are all quite different from the other players' lists, so I wouldn't say there is a typical German list anyway. What you would not find in the past are Drop/Thunderhawk lists.
But I wouldn't rely too much on typical. Typical is something that is created by knowing what will work against the opponents in your gaming circle and a kind of understanding what not to take to not annoy your opponent in every game.
But this time the opponents are new, we do not really know what to prepare for and if there are any taboos (but I have the impression there aren't). So we will most likely end with lists that are not typical and hopefully hold their own against the wider spectrum of opponents.
If not we will take it like real men. That means we will blame the dice, density or lack of terrain, referees, the moon phase and of course the beardy army lists of our opponents.

Looking forward to seeing you.

There are some Kneipen (Pubs) and restaurants nearby, but as this is not our home yard, I don't know their quality and can't recommended any.

A lot of us seem to stay at the same hotel? Is there a hotel bar or a regular bar close by? Perhaps we could meet there?

There is a hotel bar, but I think they have hotel pricings, so its a lttle bit expensive.. but as brumbaer wrote, there are some good restaurants near by. The restaurant il ducato is only 5 minutes away. I was there several times and it was good.

Updated the Matchmaker

http://brumbaer.de/Matchmaker/index.html?EEC will start set up with the teams for the EEC. If you make changes, save the URL that is shown after the website is displayed, because this will be used to retrieve changes.

http://brumbaer.de/Matchmaker/index.html will start without teams. If you make changes, save the URL that is shown after the website shows, because this will be used to retrieve changes.

http://brumbaer.de/Matchmaker/index.html?anyName will start without teams or if you already used that link with the saved state. Use this if you want to have a "name" that is easily remembered.

Changes.
Matches in a round are evenly spread over opposing teams, but if it is possible to group matches in a way that in a single round all matches in a team can be made against the same opposing team it will do so. To be possible there must be an even number of teams and a maximum of 1 team more than rounds to be played.

The chances that a player plays on a table more than once is greatly reduced.

At the end of the page will be the number of tries to find a working combination for player- and table-attribution.

Plausibility checks are performed and if necessary warnings will be displayed.

You can open a separate window with a print ready display for rankings and one with slips ready to be printed.
To send them to your printer just select print from the browsers menu.

Open issues:
Not very pretty.
