The Battle of the Thames is making its return in 2014!
The Central London Wargames Club hosts London's second Epic Armageddon tournament using the Minigeddon format!
Registration for BOTT 2014 is now open!
• Minigeddon is a fun and fast-paced supplement for GW's Epic Armageddon and great for newcomers and seasoned players alike!
• Date – November 2nd 2014
• We have set up free pre-registration through
Eventbrite - The event is limited to 20 players max, so secure your spot soon!
• The tournament starts 10am, registration opens at 9:30am. Each round has a time limit of 90min with a 1 hour lunch break after the 2nd round. We expect to finish at 7pm.
• Venue – The Escape Sports Bar, 2 Lidlington Place, Regents Park, London NW1 2JU (2 minutes walk from Mornington Crescent tube). If you want to drive, parking is controlled on Sundays in the streets immediately around the pub, but is free a couple of blocks away - otherwise there are car parks nearby as well.

• The tournament consists of 4 rounds of swiss-format, using 1000 points armies!
• In addition to the Minigeddon format rules, games will be played with the 'One BTS' rule as explained in the rules pdf.
• Lists can be chosen freely from the latest NetEA Army List Compendium 2014-01-14, EpicUK lists overrule where applicable though. Please also note the adjusted army lists for the Minigeddon format (to be found in the Minigeddon rules pdf).
• Please send in your army list by the 26th of October and have a printed copy for your opponent with you.
We recommend using
Armyforge to create and print your army list.
• We like to encourage players to come up with new army themes for BOTT 2014, therefore an army (list) which won best painted previously can only win again if it consist of at least 50% new models.
• Entry fee is £10 on the day which helps the club to pay for the venue and terrain. There will be shiny trophies and prizes for the top 3 players and a special prize for best painted army and also for the infamous wooden spoon.
• This years prize support will again include our unique BOTT objective marker for the winner!
So far, there are only two in existence and you can't get them anywhere else.
In addition we give out the following goodies!
- 1st place: Warlord Titan (Mark III, resin, unbuilt/unpainted)
- 2nd place: Revear Titan (FW Version, resin, unbuilt/unpainted)
- 3rd place: Warhound Titan (FW Version, resin, unbuilt/unpainted)
- Best painted army: Emperor Titan (resin, unbuilt/unpainted)
- Wooden Spoon: custom made chaotic Minigeddon force
But it doesn't stop there!
The fine folks over at
Pyrköl in Portugal provided us with a big load of their high quality acrylic gaming markers to give out to the top 3 and something special to be revealed at the event.
Sets include blast marker, shield marker, damage marker, blast templates and more!
On top of that, we hand out a a little something to each participant and a free ticket to the lucky 9th place for the upcoming 9th Full Scale Assault tournament.
• Food and drinks can be bought on site through the Escape sports bar. Beside a good selection of tap beer and non-alcoholic drinks, the bar does some tasty & affordable curries! Lunch orders are best placed between round 1 and 2 to allow it to be ready on time.
