Any suggestions will do.

Want it to feel right with the rest of the gang, so if there is any good GHQ model...

Looked a little at the old Hydra and it looks good but they don't sell them at the store anymore :)

I'll have a think but i don't believe GHQ do anything you could use.

You could use Gepard tanks. http://www.ghqmodels.com/store/n73.html Or, if you would rather like the unarmored, looted look, perhaps a other WW2 German flak? http://www.ghqmodels.com/store/g94.html or http://www.ghqmodels.com/store/g92.html
both taken from here: http://www.ghqmodels.com/store/german-m ... -guns.html

Hmm, the Gepard looks nice. Thanks :)
(the other two will probably be too small and I kind of like the several barrel thing, that or rockets)

IMO ... most GHQ is too small for "Epic" scale" ... unless you use an E-100 or Maus or something big like that from their Wehrmacht '47 line ... http://www.ghqmodels.com/store/military ... rmour.html just my 2 cents ...

If you are after sci fi AA proxies in a "true" (ie slightly smaller than gw scale) try Brigade Models. Some of their neo-soviet stuff is nice and would fit well with your trucks IMHO. Casts are crisp if a little undetailed. Great prices too!

I stumbled upon this baby while browsing GHQ:
Image

No, it's not an antiair thinger; it's six recoilless rifles strapped to a chassis, but it certainly Looks the part.

For genestealers, this one might be better though:

Intresting, wasn't aware of this one at all :)
Any chance someone has a pic with some sizecomparison?

Looks good, now I have some alternatives, thanks.
Even if the truck would fit the theme better I'm afraid it will be to small...

Next thing to find is a Chaos Altar with the right feel :) Perhaps a converted Baneblade...

I put some pics of brigade stuff in the comparison thread a couple of years back (sorry on phone so a pig to link to ATM.) someone else has also posted some a month or two back. In generally they are about 10-20% smaller than you'd expect a similar vehicle from GW (depending on the time it was made.) it's mainly the height (gws vehicles always have big slab sides and are designed to look right un-based against Infantry on bases. True 6mm vehicles usually need basing to the same height. Looking at your trucks I suspect brigade would fit alongside fairly well.

The multi-barreled [106mm Recoiless Rifles] beast is called an ONTOS (Greek for Thing, IIRC). http://www.bing.com/images/search?q=ont ... &FORM=IGRE Used by the USMC in Vietnam ... it is as small as a jeep. Been next to one at Little Creek NAB. The GHQ US Vietnam era Gun Truck, usually on an M35 2&1/2 ton Cargo truck in the second pic with quad .50s. I had like a 18 or so in my Support Plt. The Cargo version, the Gun Trucks were long gone by that time ... http://www.bing.com/images/search?q=Vie ... &FORM=IGRE The VC called it Whispering Death, as it could fire Indirect as well as direct LOS. An M2 .50 cal has a max range of around 6800 meters. Regardless again both IMO would be too small for Epic ...

Here you go, GHQ Ontos alongside a rhino and guardsman. As you can see it's very small. The guntrucks weapons system is even smaller and not much use for epic as is.

Nice recon pic ! The ONTOS could be used as a Tarantula or maybe Rapier ...

Hi!

GHQ stuff is very nice, but small compared to GW minis. Unfortunately calling epic 6mm gaming has never been too accurate. ;)
