Thanks. :)

I took some inspiration from Kr00za and butchered my Mega Gargant to use in a conversion of my Gargant. For such a simple thing, just gluing different arms on, I really like the look of it. From now on if I buy another Gargant I'll be buying a Mega Gargant too for it's arms. :D

I've done my first test stand of Stormboyz today. Unlike my other infantry they were a pleasure to paint, partly because they weren't glued to the base, also I am doing them 3 to a base so I felt like I was making some progress. I still need to drill little holes in them for the stands to stick in (I'm not going to leave them just glued to the stand, too fragile).

The colours I used were: Black undercoat, then 50/50 Tin Bitz and Brazen Brass (I got this from Dropship 40,000, it makes a great rusty metal) all over, then just Snot Green for skin, Bestial Brown for clothes, Chaos Black boots, Boltgun Metal around and about and one coat of Blood Red for the jets. Since the Blood Red is so thin one coat made a great dirty red colour.

The base is the same as my other, Graveyard Earth then sand, the stands are staples with one of the bent bits cut off, these are very strong and already bent at the bottom so they are easy to Green Stuff to the base. I'm going to do all my Stormboyz like this.

Excellent work! Putting them on horizontal position is a brilliant idea; no need for any exhaust fumes that way.

Things have been moving apace (well, some would call it really slowly, but for me it's apace) since I have moved on to none Infantry painting. I have based my 4 painted Tinbotz, 6 of my Infantry (which remain a pain, even to base), painted and based 3 Warbike stands and beefed up my Gargants belly gun.

The Warbike colour scheme is basically the same as the Stormboyz. I've gone for dirty/rusty look, so the red is painted thin.

The Gargant's belly gun was looking a bit weedy since putting the new arms on, so I cut up his old arm gun and stuck that on instead, then I added some chain to hold it up. Bare in mind it's not painted and so looks very striking. Hopefully when it's dulled down he won't look like BA Baracas. ;)

all based so far

Very nice addition to the Gargant with that chain. The rest is looking good too, keep it up.

After not doing any work for one reason or another, one being finding and playing Laser Squad Nemesis a lot, I have started work again on my army. I've decided to work towards 2,700 points then once that is done build on to in in chunks until the whole lot is finished. So here is what I'm going for:

Gargant (1 Gargant) 650
Total 650

Big Kult Of Speed (16 Warbuggies) 350
2 Oddboyz 100
2 Gunwagons 70
Total 520

Big Kult Of Speed (16 Warbuggies) 350
2 Oddboyz 100
2 Gunwagons 70
Total 520

Big Kult Of Speed (10 Warbikes, 6 Scorchas) 350
Total 350

Big Kult Of Speed (10 Warbikes, 6 Scorchas) 350
Total 350

Stormboyz Warhorde (6 Stormboyz) 150
6 Stormboyz 150
Total 300

I always love to try to outmanoeuvre opponents in a lot of different games, so my first list is pretty much a kult ov speed! It will almost definitely need tweaking, but by the time I know what to add I should have painted more units and be able to change it.

With that list in mind I have made 11 more bases for my Stormboyz, undercoated and painted 33 Stormboyz, so hopefully they will be done in not too long a time.

Warbuggies can't have oddboyz upgrades, just units with big gunz (Big Gunz, Gunwagons, Gunfortresses).

I would suggest taking the 200 points and adding aircraft or a blitz brigade with flakwagons.

Which is why I got 2 Gunwagons with the Oddboys :p

At the moment I don't have any Aircraft or Flakwagons, something I plan to remedy, but for now I'll have to manage without.
