Back home now after a welcome break. Have updated the Ticket website to show that there are 12 Tickets remaining (from initial 20) and also updated the 'Prize Sponsor' page to show the updated prizes Dark Realm Miniatures have generously provided.

So far this shows the progress of the Ice World board but the Facebook page will be updated later tonight as I've started the Scorched Earth World (will come up with a better name soon).

Now two more tickets have been sold, I'll buy more materials, paint, varnish etc tomorrow to make up the third board in the coming weeks. Trenches, razorwire and bunkers will probably start this week too (in the evenings).

Cheers IJW Wartrader. When I first started on the boards I'd planned to make simultaneous posts on my blog (wargamerama) and Facebook (as you say not everyone uses or likes Facebook). Somewhere along the line this was forgotten and Facebook somehow became the winner.. Will return to simultaneous posts on both Wordpress blog and Facebook from tomorrow :-)

Thanks Apocolocyntosis, appreciate the thumbs up. Has become quite the (literally) 'epic' project to be a one man band terrain making machine. Missus will be glad once I've finished these boards, scenery etc so I can get back to the unfinished DIY!!

Finished Ice World Board photo below. 'Whitened' the board a bit (as too blue before). Bought some Windsor & Newton Artist varnishes today and applied gloss to the frozen river area and matt varnish was applied to the snow border areas. Photo below, but more will be added to the Wargamerama blog and Facebook either tonight or tomorrow.


Have just about perfected a 'system' to store all the boards (including the ones still wet) in a tiny garden shed. Photo below showing the improvised stacking system once everything packed away at the end of the day. Not an elegant solution, but does the job nevertheless!


Note - The three boards stacked up on top of one another are the new Scorched Earth World boards. Photo preview below (but as before - more on the Wargamerama blog & Facebook tonight or tomorrow)

I've had to re-jig the tournament day timetable slightly. This is due to getting food timings (with the local chippy right) and also so people travelling down from afar (by train/car) can make it in time. There will also be breaks throughout the day - important in a tournament to prevent gaming burnout :0)
