Put some money in for the Churchill/Black Prince tanks and was very happy with those, any chance we might see a short barrelled variant or am I buying some more chopping the carrel to bits?

Interesting idea!

We're running a 3rd crowdfunder soon, I'll note down that idea for the list of units to make.

Maybe some new sponsons for it too?

Woo, I'm helping!

I wasn't going to suggest sponsons because, well, what I'm using them for I don't need variance of those so I'd leave that up to people more invested in them than me ;)

Any ideas where that ship is? I've got a bit of free time coming up and I was planning to have a 6mm painting frenzy.

The current news, is that the 50% of the sprues failed Quality Checking and the factory is making more, and the remainder were held before sending out, but our plastics consultants didn't tell us until this weekend that they hadn't actually been shipped when they told us they'd been shipped; suffice to say we're furious, because we've been relying on false information and waiting for a ship that hasn't turned up.

The new plan is to forget getting the castings done in China, pay for the mould tool to be flow to the UK (about £500 including import charges), and run it here. We should have a timeline for that sorted by the weekend, at which point we'll be putting out an official update.

Ouch. :-( I understand why you are doing metals for the time being....

Wow - that really sucks. I guess you'll just have to chalk it up to experience. Hope you get it all sorted soon.

Sorry to hear this news mate for reasons you are already aware of.

Unbelievable poor customer service what a mickey mouse set up they must be. They've been lying to you for months then really.

This obviously means a huge additional cost to even get these under production what a bummer.

Not going to be much in the way of profit for you on these for years i should think.

The actual production cost in the UK should be about the same cost, as the factory kept raising the price, so it's only really the transport cost for the mould we have to absorb. Not as bad as it could have been.

Hi!

Just do metals from now on. It's not worth the hassle and jumping through hoops for the plastics.

It bloody well isn't. We won't do any plastics that we can't 100% guarantee in future (Ie: simple stuff like bases that we can get cut in the west).

It's funny how I've never heard a single story of manufacturing in China actually going as promised or costing what was quoted. Weird how that happens.
