Well the SG 1/500 scale has a place too! we don't want them to feel left out now do we? :)

As L4 would say: Good intel!

Yep, for that reason it's likely we'll keep the V1's on sale as a curio.

Good about the resize, they were too small.

Happy to post these pics guys, glad you found them useful.

No apology required Ben.

I think you should attempt to do your aircraft in both scales if at all feasible as then everyone could use these models whatever scale airpower they prefer. ;)

Love the models they are just to small for my needs. Biggerize them and i'm in for a nice big batch. :)

Regards

Good - I didn't pledge for these because i expected you would have made them FW scale (and all my stuff is old skool and sg.) Having see the V1s are in scale I am just now trying to work out where to fit the VTOLs into my armies... I already have a bunch of EW Valkyries for my IG. Storm tallon proxies maybe...

For future note though (and as was discussed during the campaign) more side-by-side comparison renders would have been useful.

ps. My striders have arrived btw. Very nice!

These comparison shots look great. Have long liked Ben' s stuff but without an idea of how they would fit in with my current and intended models, I was always a but reticent. These have sold me. I just need to get a longer work contract and then I can go mad on AMTL army.

Thanks

James

Could any of you with the nice trench pieces let me know the interior width of the bottom bits of the straight sections please?

From looking at photos it looks like around 15mm, but I'd like to know exactly. I'd like to have my Krieg based on bases exactly as wide as can fit in the trench and with the trench floor detail built into their bases (I'm not sure if I'll chop up trench pieces to make the base detail or use a green stuff mould) so that when inside the base blends in as much as possible. I'm currently about to order some bases from the UK and if the trenches are an odd size, say 16mm wide or whatever, then I'll get custom cut ply bases to this size.

Couple of other quick questions: How long are the straight pieces out of curiosity? 10cm? Also, can you fit a 50mm square base in the gun pit piece? Thanks in advance and hope you don't mind me posting asking this in your painting thread MD.

50mm x 50mm bases in the big bit with some room will fit.
100mm long are the straights.
15mm wide the trenches are.

Hey GlynG i have only just got online and i can see Michael has already given you what you need. :)

My problem during the week when answering questions is that i can't log in at work due to security issues so i can only respond when i get home. Anyway feel free to ask questions here at any time.

15mm deep bases will be best if you want to cover the trench bottom and you will have about .5mm free play.

Thanks for visiting my little corner of the forum.

This is my first post, and I’m very, new to Epic (dam why do I have this tendency to become attracted to out of print games?). I was checking out the forum and stumbled onto your page. Thanks, I’ve lost days staring at your work and drooling………. Now I’m looking at some things I’ve acquired wondering how am I going to do the stuff justice? Very inspiring work, and lots of hot tips!

Hi Gun_wun welcome to the forum and thanks for the really nice comments about my work, i'm happy you have found my humble efforts inspiring and have enjoyed looking through my thread.

I look forward to seeing you start up your own thread soon.

Take a good look around the 6mm section and the tales of epic gamers page as you will find a ton of inspiratonal work by many really talented painters and modellers and of all levels of ability. This forum has helped me improve my painting skill over the short time i have been a member and i'm sure you will get plenty of advice and encouragment from everybody here.

Once again welcome and thanks for taking the time to look through my stuff.

Cheers

Meant to post these during the week but didn't get round to it, more TMG size comparisons.
