I know, right?

Although I'm afraid that might be a little too much for my limited skills... But we'll see, only time will tell!

Hey everyone!

Okay, I know my work on a "old heretic" style grand cruiser garnered exactly zero interest, but it was an idea that I liked and I wanted to carry it on!

So, here's some pics; most od the difficult work is done, now I just have to change some details to make it more ornated, refine the hollowing and desing some adequate batteries!

Looks much better. Looks like a future Thousand Sons/Tzeentchian-affiliated warship...

Now that you mention it, it does!

Looks like I have to make a "tower-like" alternate bridge...

So let me get this straight.... this design has four hardpoints per side: two broadside and two side deck? And those are compatible with the stuff in my bitz box?

VERY COOL.

I'm pretty sure you'll find something in your bits box compatible with those weapon system slots ;)

You are a prince among men. :)

OK this is off the wall, but any chance of one with 1mm by 3mm holes for disk magnets to hold the weapons systems on? Or is that a bridge too far?

Thank you, obsequious compliments are always welcome! ;)

I think I can do customize it for you that way, it shouldn't be a problem; would you want me do a customized version of my other grand cruiser, too?

Well, let's see if anyone else is interested... but I've been hearing more and more about people using a pin vise to drill those holes and get modular magnetized cruisers. Especially for people who play Rogue Trader, which apparently uses BFG ships too but has customization rules. But if this is easy and fast to do, I'd suggest doing it for one of your cruisers, and if it's popular then eventually all your minis.

Actually, before you do it, do you mind if I ask around on TMP, Starship Combat News, and Specialist Arms forum? To gauge overall interest and also figure out what magnet dimensions most people are using (imperial vs metric, for example). K&J magnetics is the go-to provider for gamers that I know, and they use Imperial.

Sure thing, go ahead! It shouldn't be very time consuming, but if we can get the correct magnet size, it's even better!

If you also manage to mention me when you ask around, even better! :D (*shameless plug mode activated*)
