Hi Nitpick,

The canals are done with Vallejo water effect. I wanted to get their still water effect, which is way more liquid to get a smooth finish, but they didn't have it at my shop. So I let him talk me in to buying this instead. No worries, I'm pretty pleased with the results.

I'm off to paint some ruins :)

Update Time !

Painting actually went faster than anticipated. I needed the board to be in a playable state because I wanted to use it yesterday in a demo game. Unfortunately, drinking on a Friday night and getting up early the next morning meant that I forgot to bring my camera. :{[] .

There is still more work to be done. I skipped the details on the ruins for this moment and I also have some small reserved spaces for some industrial buildings next to the canals. storage tanks and workshops. I've started on them last night with Engmir and they are going to look great.

A lot of pictures for you guys, but I'm sure you won't mind that ;D

Well, That's it for now, but tune in for the next episode, when I will show the start of the industrial buidings and some of the extra detail I'm going to add.

Dude, really nice painted ruins! I love how you use so much colour but still make it seem very old and worn!

Well done! The canals seem very nice. I like how you designed the reconfigurability.

I have to agree, this terrain looks really fantastic.

Looking forward to see your industrial buildings. Are the accessoires from Faller sold separately or are they part of a komplete kit?

Thanks for all the nice comments.

the Faller stuff is just a set of sprues with crates, barrels, bags and drums. I've tried to find te set online, but I fear they might not do them anymore. They have a simmilar set in N scale (1:160) but those are way to large.
If enough people are interested, I might try and see if I can cast them myself. They are very usefull for building scenery and objectives (and they look much better than the ones GW made).

Cheers.

edit for spelling.
