I've Finally started the painting phase. Yippy

There are still some details to add on and I have to add a bit of rubble here and there, especially on the floors of the collapsed buildings.

I've also bought some Z-scale accessories from Faller. They look really neat.

I've taken these photos this morning. The table looks a bit lighter than in reality.










Right now, the roads, hill, rubble and craters have all been painted and I've begun painting the sidewalks.
After that, the buildings and the canal.

It's actually looking like I'm going to finish this project in the near future. I amaze myself .

Hey mate,

Great city table, simply stunning work so far. If you haven't already, put cloth tape around the edges of your foam boards this protects them from those little accidents that tend to happen regardless of how careful you are. I am going to pinch some of your ideas now.

I'm not sure what cloth tape is? what brand do you use? I've painted the sides with pva glue, But i'll take up any suggestions to futher protect my board.

Small update, pictures will follow asap.
I've painted the sidewalks and i'm really pleased with how they turned out. I've also started work on the first bridges. They will be seperate entities so we can place them where needed.
The floors in most buildings have been glued in and textured and are ready for painting.
Water effect has been added to the canals and is drying as I'm typing. This was the first time Ive used any type of water effect and it was quite tricky to do. Praying to the emperor for good results.

Next up: painting the walls of the buildings. I'm thinking thats going to be very time consuming.
