They are both free; Accutrans only points out the problems, I fix them myself... I don't find many holes, though, perhaps one every couple of models; mostly it's gaps that come put when I use the push\pull tool....

It's odd, I would assume my models wouldn't really have holes, but according to Netfabb they're filled with them, so I try to fix them. I have been trying to use Meshlab to merge multiple stl files together, but once I try to upload those to Shapeways I get error messages. I've contacted Netfabb to see what I can do best, but I think they'll most likely try to push me to pay for their software...

One thing that I found very useful in avoiding holes\similar problems is never using the "Intersect faces with model" command, I had way too many components that I had to start from scratch because they were too messed up by that command...

I noticed SketchUp can do some very weird things with intersecting stuff...

By the way, I've posted about your ships here and there on Warseer and DakkaDakka, do you know if you're getting more views/sales lately?

That's weird... I don't really know Netfabb, so I wouldn't know why it does that, but if you want, you can send me one of your skp models where it finds holes, so I can run it through the programs I use and see what do they find...

Thank you for the promotion! Sales are really fluctuating up and down, but it's all good as long as it helps keeping the game alive!

Sure, PM me your email address. By the way, are you also able to merge multiple stl models into a single file? I tried doing that with Meshlab, but for some reason it leaves all these holes in models that were previously already repaired. :(

I usually add everything in a single skp file, and then convert it...

Pm sent!

How about sizes? I noticed that when I try to have the model good, I draw everything 10 times bigger (1cm in real life is 1m in SketchUp) and then I have to shrink the model by 0.254 to get it correct. Dunno if that's a glitch in Sketchup or the converter...

Hi everyone!

I have no new pictures today, just a couple of small updates:

- The space merchant ships are all being printed, all the printing checks have given the greenlight so they should be available very soon, hopefully next week!

- I'm momentarily withdrawing the custom revenge cruiser from sale; now that I have some more experience, I have to go back to the model and see if I can hollow it out some more, to make it cheaper!
The good news is that, when it will be back, I'll make available all the different grand cruiser configurations (both good and evil).

More updates soon!

This is especially awesome! We could have 'traitor designs' being used by Loyalists and visa versa!

You should perhaps try giving a shot of 'pre-Heresy' designs, maybe this will inspire you?

That's ideally the plan! That also gave me an idea, but more on that in a bit...

First of all, good news everyone!

The test prints for the Space Merchant ships arrived, and everything went fine! This means, of course, that all ships are available on my shapeways store!
They come in cruiser, battlecruiser and various light cruiser variants; if there are more configurations that you would like to see, let me know!

Now, for the idea that I mentioned before; I tried to sculpt an alternative prow for my grand cruiser, less "evil" and perhaps a bit old-style... What do you guys think?

Hey everyone!

Ok, evidently the pre heresy grand cruiser didn't garner as much interest as I hoped :D

Having shelved that, I've got a couple of models I'd like to show you!

First, another model that will probably never be for sale; I tried to make a more ornate version of my old strike cruiser, that I think would work well with the more "gothic" chapters; let me know what you think!

Now, a model (still very much wip) that I'm working on at the moment: a chaotic evil light cruiser.

It's compatible with all my chaotic evil weapon systems, and the prow is cross-compatible with my other cruisers and light cruisers (although some combinations could look weird :))..

Of course I still have to do a lot of work on the bridge and the rear part, but you can see where it's going!

First the gunship configuaration (side batteries, prow torpedoes, prow turret mounted batteries):

And then the carrier configuration (side launch bays, prow lances):

Opinions\cookies\insults are welcome, as always!
