I'm not 100% certain. The change log seems to indicate it wasn't using indirect fire since the CLP was still around 100 points and was renamed the fire control center, but I need to see if anything in the discussion corroborates that since I don't have any of the older lists prior to 3.16.

I just think it is worth considering as ONE option, given that your initial suggestion met resistance.

It would push the twin Quake Cannon Titans into a more dynamic fighting style, which seemed to be one of your main motivations. And also gives a more clearly defined role for the Triple/Quad AML as the Artillery Titan, (albeit one with 120cm non-MW range as opposed to 180cm MW Quake Cannons which I have laways disliked).

The choices are the ideas that have been put forward. But, yes I am deciding which options are present, it's my job to develop the list after all.

I'll see what I can dig up on the quake with ignore cover.

Quake and Ignore Cover:

This was discussed originally in 2008 and the ideas was brought back again in 2011. I don't think much has changed in that time that makes the discussions less relevant to now.

From what I can piece together from here: viewtopic.php?f=22&t=12327
The CLP was basically the same function as the it has been up till 3.21, ie. grants indirect fire to BP weapons. The consensus at the time was to leave the quake with the current stats and that the addition of Ignore Cover to a MW was bad juju. For those of you who want stronger reasoning, none was given. Based on these threads I would strongly suggest we not pursue the idea of Ignore Cover on a QC.

Interesting notes:
The printed EA rulebook collectors stats list the quake and Clp as this:

Quake: 120cm, 3BP MW (this changed to include Slow Firing in the 2008 errata, generally considered bad due to extra paperwork and oddity involving why the thing takes 15 minutes to reload.)

CLP: Titan may split fire between two targets. (do I hear a can opener?)

Ok, here are the tentative poll options for the CLP:

Option 1:
CLP grants indirect fire to ONE BP weapon. This follows the same concept of the Fire Control Center granting a reroll to ONE weapon and is the same concept used by the eUK titan list.

Option 2:
The AML stats change to 60cm 3bp, Indirect Fire.
The CLP grants Disrupt. (this is to avoid adding ignore cover to the Quake cannon.)

Option 3:
CLP lets BP weapons fire using the LOF of a scout titan so long as the target is in range of the firing titan.

WGI: I think we may limit the disrupt to a single weapon for the moment. Giving it to all weapons solves issues like multiple BP weapons canceling the Disrupt, but it might be a tad powerful. Just giving it to 1 weapon might be a good starting point with moving to all weapons as a next step before adding cost to the CLP.

Ok. Thinking out loud.

The Quake Cannons fire massive shells. How about representing this concussive power? If MW + Ignore Cover was found to be too powerful, how about Disrupt as an advantage for Quake Cannon to offset the disadvantage of Direct Fire only?

So this would leave Quake Cannon as 90cm range, Direct Fire only, MW Barrage with Disrupt.....
