I can see why you are an Enginseer. You seem to be good at planning fancy looking machines.

thanks Mojarn et al.

MONDAY 2nd February 2004 Hi all, I've been diaring (or not) since December now, and this has been the slackest period so far - BUT - I managed to revamp an ancient Wraithlord (i.e. one of the old knights) which coincidentially happened to be yellow.... He has joined his bright red brother , and once I get their third colleague in good shape and the Wraithguard painted I'll post pics. cheers.

LONG OVERDUE UPDATE!
Hi all, this is long overdue. I havn't worked on the Eldar for over 20 days now - a poor outlook indeed for a diary - but following the 40k/fantasy tournament in a couple of weekends, the pointy ears will be back.

THE END.
Ok, explanations are needed. Yesterday eveningI felt the urge to dust off the old CI bits and set about assembling and painting it (at long last). In the same box I found a couple of vintage incomplete Thunderbolts (including a very colourful one)and the odd Hellhound and loads of knight bits and - well, other stuff. I longed to get this lot in my painting sights, but discipline prevailed. I have to complete my Eldar.
Two minutes later I unearthed another old favourite, and realised that it will probably be a long time before I dig up an Epic opponent and need a large army. So I put the Eldar on a back burner for the moment, and as my back burner periods are usually measured in decades, I think it's only fair to fold this diary for the moment. I'll post comments on the Eldar whenever I return to them; but not just now. First priority remains the Avatar + court, so that I'll have a complete SMALL army at least. But I'd actually rather not call it a priority. Because: I usually try to complete WHFB and WH40K armies for tournaments, and end up rushing to meet deadlines, instead of sitting back and enjoying the odd conversion or two. And I realise I can afford to model and paint in Epic (and Warmaster, incidentally) without establishing any regime. So, at least in the case of Epic and WM, I'll be painting at leasure and whatever takes my fancy. My one commitment will be to try to finish models, and not have loads of half-way stuff. To begin with - well, you'll see, I suppose I won't resist boring you with tales of metal/polymer butchery and painting dodges. Better not commit myself too much either! But I can safely say poor old Deffsta will be in there eventually too.
Oh - and thanks for the diary support, everyone.

Oh boy! Now we can have a slowness competition! Whose army takes longer to paint; your Eldar or my Squats!
