What's it's current 40k stats? It always irked my that the broadside railgun, literally 1/8th the size of the Hammerhead railgun, and mounted on a much smaller and less stable chassis, had the same stats.

Everyone agrees Stealth suits are not useful with their current stats, except for Yme-Loc. No one ever fields them, even Yme-Loc (EUK stats).

I wouldn't use Stealth suits at 250pts for 6 as they are in the the 6.4 list but I do use them at 225pts for 6 as they are in the 6.6 list. Tau are very sensitive to these small points changes and 225pts is just the right value for me at least for the effect teleporters can have on an opponents deployment and the cost I am willing to pay for the potential of a teleporting markerlight.

However that wouldn't show up in the EpicUK torunament stats as they are based entirely on the older 6.4 list.

For what it's worth, as many have stated in the past, 1+ initiative, 6 for 250 sounds about right. The usual counterargument is that Broadsides ^should see an initiative increase also if Stealth suits were improved. And that seems to be a problem for the reasons stated above. Personally, making the Broadside Railgun coincide with its current 40k version and increasing its initiative would be an acceptable and dynamic tradeoff, but here again, change is unlikely.

Perfectly reasonable ideas, but implementation of these would almost certainly require moving the list back to developmental status which isn't a massive problem but it does then mean quite a large amount of playtesting to get it back to approved (also might not be my mandate, fairly sure I am supposed to be getting lists to approved not going the other way).

I just don't necessarily see it as needed when the list works fine as it is. It would effectively be moving the list back to developmental just to fix Stealth suits which are already ok (not good, but ok) at reduced cost of 6 for 225pts in the 6.6 list.

Small changes to lists can be proposed and play tested over a period of time. If the AC feels that there is evidence to further these changes into an existing Accepted List these are proposed to the ERC for their stamp of approval.

Indeed:

NetEA Charter wrote:
Retaining NetEA Approved Status

Changes to a NetEA approved list should be put forward to the NetERC by the list' s Army Champion. If the changes are minor in the eyes of the Army List Development member (Human or Xenos) who oversees the Army Champion then they are carried. The NetERC can veto these changes with a majority vote. If vetoed the Army Champion must go through the NetEA army list approval process detailed above.

Perhaps this section of the charter could be reworded slightly like:
"If the Army List Development member (Human or Xenos) who oversees the Army Champion is satisfied that the changes are minor, or demonstrated to be balanced, then they are carried."

IIRC, range is 60" (aka 60 cm in EA), and its strength has been toned down. Broadside twin Railgun would be something like: 60 cm AT4+ if the conversion was done now.

What's the verdict on Stealth-suits, not worth the current price/stats? Any chance of a review of certain units within the 3rd phase army?

Tweaking broadsides had crossed my mind as well but you'd probably want to do stats for the missile pod variant as well. Broadsides don't really fulfil the role they once did in 40k...

why not try them out and see? different units suit different playstyles, first and foremost the game is about having fun, I use baneblades and land raiders in my guard and marine armies, even though they're sub-optimal for the points, because I like the models....

most amazingly I still don't lose every game I play either.... ;)
