Cheers for the link to the original Armageddon bases, though it seems that 6mm Steel Legion just kind of blend in too much if I try and match that kind of colour, thier camo is obviously too good!
I was trying to find something that wouldn't look too out of place regardless of which table they ended up on.
This may seem like a pretty bone question, but I have been having great difficulty preventing my basing from obscuring the minis at least slightly. I have heard about painting the minis first and then attaching them, but to my mind this would leave quite an obvious join? I think I will paint the bases first and them paint the actual figures afterwards.
Alternatively I have been looking at this product:

Apparently it goes on pretty smooth, and when given a brown wash looks like this:

Has anyone had any experience of it? Im just thinking it may mean I can paint my figures prior to basing, as there wouldn't need to be any drybrushing involved.
