I ran into your ships on shapeways earlier this week. The prows seem a bit large for my taste but I like the rest a lot. I'm looking to build an imperial fleet soon so I might just give them a go :-)

Thank you very much guys, I'm glad you like them!

Which prows are too big? I think I can model a version with smaller prows, if you like them better! :)

The Imperialish Frigates B. The Lyrebird sized prows seem to work better imo. (My Chaotic Evil fleet hasn't got any vacancies however)

I see! I tried to change them a bit, here are some pictures!

To give a little background to the others, we are talking about the following frigates:

Lance frigate

Here’s the version with smaller prows, I lifted it off the smaller torpedo frigate I made:

And finally a comparison between larger prow (bottom) and smaller prow (top).

Let me know what you think!

Drop the Firestorm and Sword names though. Don't want to raise ire of the Wendy Legal Hoplites of Doom.

Absolutely! That must have been a typo in the filename...

Yes, you hit the nail on the head.

Won't the inquisition object to the names on the pictures though? ;-)

edit: I see I'm late in posting that :-)

I think the second one is better, but if you could scale it down (not just shorter, but smaller in every dimension). Also a ridge along the edge... many players (including me) use that ridge for a highlight color to indicate squadron assignment. But yeah greatly improved!

I'll see what I can do for the ridge, Let me try a couple of things :)

In the meantime, I've been absent for a few days, but for a reason!

Here's my latest model, a Space Trader cruiser, 9 cm long.

Here's a picture of its components; apart from the batteries and antennas, I've kept the prow, engines and wings separate, to allow for some personalization.

I've also made different prows in the same style, with a large cannon or six torpedo bays.

For this one, I'll probably wait and test print a copy before putting it on sale, although it shouldn't have any printing problems...

As always, let me know what you think!
