Over here, I think its more of a generational thing. Its almost exactly that anyone 40 or under will queue, while over this age and they just wont. And, while people will wait patiently - especially in the rush hour when things get extremely busy - no-one says a word when a 60-year-old just walks right past them and stands in everyones way.
And, while we are excising the bile, why... why... WHY dont people take their bags off their shoulders in packed underground trains??? Haaaaa.... thats better!
