I do like the new Cybershadows infantry much better. I did not say anything before because they were presented long ago as a future product, because Ben can do as he likes, because others seemed to be happy with what was shown, and because they were "good enough." Having said that, I did not much care for the previous hoods, the relative lack of features, and I still do not care for the continuing lack of protection for the tiny human heads of the Heavy Cyborgs (kind of like using tissue paper for the front glacis armor on an Abrams). If the head does not serve some type of function, then why preserve it at all? If it is critical, then you had better protect it in some way - maybe the 'shadows have little force field generators that can protect small areas (say, the size of a head? ;0) )...

Good point about the head. While looking good it would be taken down quite fast in the battle. But..looks are more important to me on minis than reality

I like them having head. Where would you else put the targeting system obviously? :)

I'm fine with the exposed heads myself, but armored could work too. A rework of the claws, which looks quite underdetailed for now, feels more important to me at the moment.

Thanks for all the feedback over the weekend guys, I have eyes on it. :-)

In other news, we're now at 35% funded!

I'm thinking of opening up a new unit type to boost participation, how does Human Heavy Infantry sound?
(somewhere between our basic infantry, and power armoured infantry, in armour and guns)

Just casting my eye over the Specialist Support Weapon Platforms. Does anyone else think the track units are a little small? Some of them look like they would easily tip over. Any chance of bulking them up (longer and wider)?

Matt

How about flipping the tracks vertically so they're orientated like the ones on the heavy conveyor?

It'd tie them together visually, and also add a lot more stability.

Yeah i thought about that too. Maybe you could change the position of the joint between the weapon and the tracks. if you move the weapon more to the gunner it gets a more balanced.
