How many Hellblades and Hell talons?

Hi all,

I recently acquired some hell blades and hell talons from a local gamer (6 hellblades and 4 hell talons). The question is, how many do I need for my Chaos force? It is list agnostic (for the most part) and in the region of 5,000 points (although it has titan backup).

How many fliers do you find yourself using? Just the basic 3 hellblades/2 hell talons, or do you double up on some (or both) entries?

At 5k doubling up on a formation isn't uncommon. Sounds like you're pretty set there.

Thank you for the reply, though. It is kind of what I was thinking, but I kind of hoped I could dispose of a few to raise funds for other projects. ;D

If i had the above and was looking to sell some I'd keep 6 blades and 2 talons to give flexibility for a range of 3k lists. Although if you were planning to field the full 5k at once then you might want all 4 talons.

I would definitely keep all the helblades for AA purposes. At 225 I'd be tempted to keep all the talons as well even for games smaller than 5k. Those BP can come in handy

agreed, I'd keep the lot, but if things were desperate, I'd regret selling two talons the least.....

Thanks everyone. Things aren't desperate at all--it was more my compulsive need for efficiency. ;D I'll keep the lot for now. It only cost me $20 CAD, so it doesn't represent much of an investment.
