Alrite my luvvers?!? Lez play Epic Innit? Where to I ere you say? BRIZZLE!

The one and only Winter Warmer returns to Bristol just in time for you to dust off your winter camo colours and get in practice ready for the rest of the UK Epic Tournament season when it starts in Feburary with EpicUK's first Tourney. Unlike other Epic tournaments at Bristol Winter Warmer you can play whatever list you want from NetEA, Ferc, EpicUK or what have you; we're not fussy but might knock some points off of people seen to be abusing our generosity!

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

THE EPIC WINTER WARMER: SATURDAY JJANUARY THE 18th 2014, VANGUARD WARGAMING, HOTWELLS ROAD, BRISTOL.

We're back on home turf again this year after having to move house to Westbury last year; now based at the superb Vanguard Wargaming which is VERY comfortable and plush to say the least it also boast excellent gaming boards to complement our own high quality scenery and your tiny toys :-)

HOW IT WORKS

3 x 3000pt games, all bog standard tourney scenario: makes sure we're all on the same page and don't spend yonks organising ourselves around alternative scenarios.

Use any army you want! Tau, Tyranids, Dark Eldar, NEcrons, some wierd version of space marines? Who cares?! Just come and play some Epic Armageddon! (but don't be a silly about it or we'll smash off some points from your score :-)! )

Prizes for: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, Most Sporting, Underdog Army of the Day (least min/max'd), Bestest Looking Armies (players and judges choice), AND...a tiny little teaspoon if you come last!

We'll be looking to get some beers in for our standard honesty bar and this year there'll be time for beers at the gamer friendly smallest pub in Bristol just down the road come the evening; with more board games, vinyl and cats then you can shake a stick at!

Cost: £10 a head; this covers venue costs as well as some pennies for us to buy prizes. Total of 16 Tickets available: paypal payment to me after PM enquiry of email address please! Book those tickets quickly please! In fact, NOW!

NORTHERN PLAYERS; We want YOU! We don't see enough of you! As a special one time offer I, Ryan, will personally buy you a Donut and a Coffee if you've travelled from above Birmingham :D !

Registration Deadline: 1 week before tournament.

WANT TO COME? Please put your hand up by posting in this thread, and then ask for my paypal address by PM to book your ticket! Ask any questions too: we're VERY new player friendly :-)

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Winter Warmer Epic Bring and Buy!
It's a Bring and Buy, at the Winter Warmer! (Epic related goods only please as we don't want to detract from the store's wares). Bring your unwanted minis and trade/sell/buy to your hearts delight. We'll be running this during lunch so have things ready to be displayed on one of several clear benches provided. Lunch will be a bit longer to allow time for this

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

With the following obvious changes:
-'General Restrictions' states the no experimental armies etc may be used: Disregard this!
-In the case of 'Odd Number of Players' we will be operating a 'bye' system. No one will be asked to sit out.

See you all there :-)

Quick question right off the bat: I help run 'Roll for the Soul' Bristols one and only Bike Cafe and Workshop, we're veggie so there's no meat on offer but our wraps are utterly delicous! Would anyone be AGAINST said cafe catering lunch (i.e., really want meat); it would be something like a wrap, plenty of hearty salads, and lot's of kick arse cakes and would probably add a fiver to ticket costs.

So, who what?

I am interested for sure..... but not sure I fancy driving all the way down and back on my own..... I'll try to lure some of the other northern dudes down if possible

anyone got a spare room I could crash in?

also, veggie lunch is fine with me, IF I make it down....

Hey Kyuss :-)! I can heartily reccomend a couple backpackers in town: I'm currently reserving my front room for some close friends who it would be really nice to have stay for the pub session but if they're not up for it then I might have space to put up a couple of well behaved people :-)

I hereby announce that the Titans of the Legio Crucius shall once more march to war! For the Emperor! Glory to Him on Terra! Glory to the Machine-God!

I will, however, not be using any Titans involved in lists that have attended previously... just to mix it up a little. :P

The Omnissiahs forges have plenty more God-Machines where they came from! :D

Just realised that would be the third gaming weekend in a row at the same time that we're ramping up the eBay store after the Xmas break. :(

It's pretty central so there should be enough parking nearby; there's also parking on the street outside.
