Last night me and Florian finished 2 games in about 75 minutes!

First impressions, which match our initial thoughts, are that the 3 warhound ATML army is not that strong in minigeddon. In 2 games, they won one and lost the other. They look great on paper, but minigeddon with the 80cm table width promotes assaults and warhounds usually start assaults outnumbered by 2:1 and are not so hot rolling not many dice and with a mediocre save. The 3 SR and having only 3 activations at 1000 pts prevents avoiding all assaults like they would in a marine list at SR 5 and a bigger table. The firepower is great of course, but for same points you can have 5 shadowswords + sentinels, and 3 warhounds can't match that either. Shooty units in minigeddon don't need to be fast.

Maybe a bit hidden in the original post, but based on 1.5h rounds, 30min in between and one hour lunch break we expect to finish at 7pm latest. If games turn out to be much quicker, then we adjust the time table as we go along.

@ AMTL: The list we tried has been

- Warhound, Mega Bolter, Plasma, Princeps
- Warhound, Laser Destructor, Plasma, Princeps
- Warhound, 2x Rocket Launcher

While it was fun to play it seems to rely heavily on gaining initiative turn 2 for a double activation to making use of its great firepower to prevent getting charged down.
Also pretty sure that teleporting Terminators (backed up by some landspeeder and/or Warhound) means near auto-loss.

All in all, i agree with Carlos. The initial impression seems to be that the list is more mid to low tier.
We'll definitely do a full test run after the tournament. The fact that there are only two possible lists (3x Warhounds or 2x Warhounds + 2x Robot formations) anyway will help with a final ruling.

However, it would be for sure the cheapest and easiest to build Minigeddon list out there!
