Blip what did you fasten those ruins to? Plasticard? Cardboard? I'm having problems with mine as they are warping now.

Nice town! Does it have a sheriff? :)

Do you mean beacuse of the wild west layout ? :D

Yeap :D

I really like the look of them - I don't know if I should base my buildings or not, though - simply never though of it,til now

I always do. I find it's nice to add a little extra ummph to my scenery that way.
Mounting ruins? Add craters and rubble around them!
Factory or Industrial Building? Run pipes, roads, walls, industrial bling around them! :)

Hi Blip,

Somehow I missed this thread until now. Your Eldar look absolutely fantastic! The ruins don't look too shabby either! ;)

Cheers!

Thanks all.

Bases are some kind of mythical card i have never seen before or since... about 2mm thick, light, easy to cut and never warps ! :D It was some kind of packing material from a shop i used to work in. It was like a ply-card - 4 very thin layers presumably in alternating fiber orientations.

I agree - bases are good for terrain. Best bet is probably plastic or better acrylic.

Didn't get a good group shot but you get the idea - pretty self explanatory.

Really nice models - no messing with miss-fitting pieces, take drybrush and wash really well for a quick effective result.

I can't decide right now whether to add a little more detail or move on to the rest of the lead mountain. Putting them alongside the guard i did a couple of years ago these already look significantly better (thanks to all the inspiration gained on these boards) not sure if i want to revisit the rest or move on... We will see.

CC welcome.

I've also did some things on the side :

Again, suggestions - particularly on details to add are welcome. Already thinking those valks could use form hazard stripes to mark intakes...

The "Stormsword" is a quick conversion. I picked up some slightly dodgy FW shadowswords on ebay - which all but this one need some sponson replacement. As i already have some old school titan busters i thought my forces might need some close support - especially as i am planning to start playing the Minervan list some times. In reality they may proxy as any CC SH - Stormsword, Stormhammer, even Stormlord if i want to run cadians some time. Like everyone round these parts i'm planning to expand my guard to allow multiple lists from one set of models.

The camo scheme is intended to be compatible with my existing Steel Legion, but also distinct. As i add more armour they could be splintered off to form their own armored regiment - minervan/ulani. Likewise the old "Red" regiment (which has plenty of trench coated infantry) may in time morph to become krieg/BSM/vraks etc...

Again bring on the CC.
