Hi Guys, no doubt this has been asked before, but can anyone point me in the direction of alternative miniatures suitable to represent tyranids and chaos armies and also imperial guard flyers/tanks please.

For guard there are loads of options, check out dark realm miniatures and exodus wars, for tyranids again try the dark realm 'skyth' range which make great nid proxies, and of course the new guys on the block onslaught miniatures have a lovely range ofcreatures which make excellent proxies for tyranids.....you can also use some of the 40k models to make tervigons, harridans, bio titans, raveners and objective markers....and the dominatrix is usually cheaply available on ebay (if not, I have one you could buy...)

Also look for Solar Empire Marines from C&C. They're fantastic for stormtroopers and combat engineers. Both myself and L4 have plenty of them in our forces so check out the hobby logs for those
Also Microworld has some great stuff too though I don't have any hands on with them.
Trouble Maker Games is entering the 6mm market and is just finishing up their smashing success of a crowdfunded wave 1 release and the vehicles / flyers / infantry are progressively starting to become available for regular sale. They're planning a wave 2 crowdsourcing soon as I understand it that will have some additional focus on fighters and VTOLs.
