The Magnoculars reveal heavy enemy movement to the north of the city. The crackle of the vox boxes send a never ending stream of updates and information which the servo slaves strain to filter and transmit.
All his units are accounted for, except for Cohort Tertius. They were sent in long range reconnaissance and have not voxed back. Where the hell is that Captain Pietr? The engagement could not be postponed lest the Eldar entrench themselves.
Colonel Ivor signals the general advance....
The farseer's visions play out the initial advance in the mind of Zyr. The Eldar way is for speed and maneuver, but the strands of fate shows there is no time for subtlety. The direct route is required as the clarion call of Khaine is felt by the host and obeyed!
With a roar the Eldar Host races forward. The still rational part of Zyr's mind weeps for those to be lost. The Farseer rarely is mistaken....
Game narration.
Using the alternate flanking rules. Each army rolls 1d6 for every thousand points that the battle force is worth. For every die that exceeds the armies flank value one activation (formation) may be deployed through the side edges of the battlefield in the second turn.
Eldar Flank value 4+
IG Flank value 5+
However a player may decide to “force march” and attempt to deploy forces from the side edges one turn one. This reduces the flank value by one.
The orange dice will represent Imperial die rolls and the tan die will be the Eldar die rolls.

The Eldar decide to gamble and force march, however they fail to obtain even a signal activation!
The IG play it safe and obtain two success. They can enter two formation beginning the second turn.
