Thank you a lot!

Ok, an apology is due, Mangozac told me that the Strike Cruiser modification was actually designed by Vaaish...

I'll edit the post right away! Sorry Vaaish... I've always been a great fan of your painting log... please forgive me... :wah :wah :wah

Ok! Now for the latest model that I had printed and painted (for now, more are coming)!

I am proud to present to you my momentary crown jewel: a reinterpreted repulsive grand cruiser (now it is definitely grand!)...

I tried to keep the bridge very simple, to show that it is a very old ship, but I don't think it worked out very well...

The good thing is that I built the model so that most of the components can be used to build the Vengeance variants, too! I.e. the side plating is separate, and exactly as large as 2 imperial weapon bays!

Hope you like it!

I approve, what a fantastic ship with a well executed paint scheme to boot.

Um, I think you made a mistake. The pics I see are of the "awesome" rather than the "repulsive" variety. ;)

Is the bridge intended to be a massive glass-covered atrium? Very futuristic cathedral-like!

Ok, I haven't finished painting my new model yet, but in the meantime, as I promised malika2, here's the render of my aquila frigates!

From left to right, laces, batteries and torpedoes:

Woooooooow! Really digging those wings. I've been wanting to do something similar with mine.

Overall I like them, but I don't like the beaks. They look TOO much like a bird then IMO.

Other than that though, truly awesome.

Thank you everyone!

ForgottenLore, how would you change them? I'm open to suggestions! :)

Now, fresh from the painting table, my latest escort.
I didn't manage to get my hands on some falchions before they went OOP, so I tried to make my own version!

The 3d model:

Ant the painted model! As an experiment, I've added to the exausts some engine flares that I modeled and printed; what do you guys think?

I would loose the beaks in favor of a more standard imperial prow, maybe similar to the one on the repulsive above (really like that one). I think the wings convey the bird theme enough.

I agree w/ this. Something suggestive of a beak, without being so overt.
