Which is why I started oredring parts of the OTC range so that I'm not left waiting when and if there is a spike in demand. :)

But if you do a Kickstarter, partner with someone over in the EU to reship everything there. That way Europe will probably chip in far more than normal, as seen with the Wargods Kickstarter and it's horrendous shipping costs

i think peeps who want to wait for complete armies before ordering, can order in 2 or 3 lots instead over time as Deacon releases them. I believe he can be trusted to deliver what he says he has planned, and even if he can't, other proxies can be found to complete armies. this way Deacon can enjoy his hobby, moving between designing all his armies, and wE have the ecstasy of anticipation and input...

this way Onslaught get its funds for inward investment on new waves.

the crucial thing as i see it, is the finalising of a European Distributor.

a kickstarter is going to take up all his time for 6 weeks, on top of his Wife, Child and Job commitments, provide funds, but result in a lot more preasure to perform/deliver.

if i was designing my models and making them avaliable to others, i wouldn't want to be rushed or steered.
my two Cents

Or you get someone that runs the KS for you for a small fee or out of kindness... We all have uneployed friends bored out of their minds...

I also think it's important to allow this to be a hobby endeavor foremost as long as that is the way Deacon runs it. Let the hen keep laying its golden eggs rather than gutting it to see what's inside. It can only get messy. :)

I don't think a KS is really what deacon wants to get involved in right now, too much work. Which is why I asked about pre-orders, which have a similar (but smaller) effect with a few updates to his website.

As much as I'm looking forward to wave 5, I'd be happy to wait a little longer if it meant that the EU distributor was set up. That would bring in a fair amount for the "war chest". KS seem to be rather hit or miss and, as said, a lot of work. Let's let Deacon have his hobby and let him enjoy it too.

Thanks everyone - I appreciate the support!

A wise man once said - If you want to learn to hate what you love, do it for a living. And this is true - believe it or not, I used to do 3d for a living - and I friggin' hated it. Did it for 7 years, in a little cubicle, pumping out model after model every day. After I changed jobs, I didn't open a 3d program for 2 years until I started modeling things for fun in my spare time which eventually became Onslaught.

I only bring it up, because if I were to do a Kickstarter, which demands timelines and results, and LOTS of nagging - the designs that would be produced would just suck.

So if you want to see my best stuff - the way to go is as I'm doing it now - I think something would be cool to do, and I do it.

All that being said, the OTC will get a complete line - all of my races will. I have Stygian fans waiting very patiently for their day in the sun - and I can't (won't) let them down. So wave 7 will be devoted to them as promised. After that, I'll swing back to the OTC - there seems to be a lot of need there, so they'll get their mega rigs, command infantry, hover bikes, a flyer of some sort, and maybe something pretty large.

I've got people needing Legion and Sectnid stuff too - And they came out first! Just know I have a massive bug in the works right now, that I work on from time to time. When It hits the scene, I think you guys will be stoked.

So I hope that makes everyone happy to some extent, and explains why I release things is such an apparent haphazard fashion.

I, for one, will buy any OTC you put out once they're available from Europe :)

Having spent a while in a red shirt, I can only agree with you. I want your best stuff. Loiter about at your speed of leisure and avoid hard deadlines and such like at all costs :)
