And that concludes my Goff Orks or now!

Army List so far:

Goff Clan: 650 points
3 Battlewagon Squadrons: 300 points
Ork Gargant (with Gutbuster, Gatling Cannon, Supa Lifta Droppa, Gork Head, 2 Battlecannon): 750 points
Lungbusta Squadron: 100 points
2 Gutrippa Squadrons: 200 points
Warbuggy Squadron: 100 points

Total: 2,100 points

Not sure whether to go or Bad Moons or Blood Axes next!

I decided to paint my Blood Axes. I couldn't find any pictures of Epic Blood Axe armies - although I'm sure there will be plenty of them around here somewhere! On Wikipaedo it said that their colours were "green and drab colours". As a result I took inspiration from '92 and devised this rather grungy colour scheme which should provide a bit of a contrast to the other rather more nattily-atired clans!

I'm proud therefore to present Warlord Kurtz' Blood Axes! Maybe I'll paint Kurtz with his entourage that includes Nobz Grohl and Novoselic at a later date. What's that whiff in da air? Smellz like Blood Axes!

As a brief footnote, at a later date I plan on painting up more Land Raiders with the same colour scheme. I realised quite late in the day that I can use these vehicles for the Chaos Death Guard to go along with my yet unpainted Nurgle army.

Oh, and I do realise that my attempt to paint the Blood Axes' symbol on to that banner is pretty hideous! It was the best I could do though! ;D

I'm working on the Bad Moons next but am already thinking on beyond there which may be the Deathskulls. What do people usually do with them? Paint their heads green and their clothes blue?

Cheers for that Rastamann - very inspiring indeed!

I'm in the middle of painting up my Bad Moons and realised in a few days I'll have to apply a wash to the troops. I've ruled out Agrax Earthshade and it's a coin toss between Nuln Oil and Athonian Camoshade.

If it helps I am painting them in Flash Gitz Yellow, while their boots and guns will be black (other than the plasma gun/heavy bolter which will be red & yellow).

What do you think?

It's been a while but finally I've finished painting my Bad Moons mob.

Apologies again for the pics, next time my nephew is visiting I'll get him to take pictures of everything on this thread. I need a better camera!

Oh, for anyone interested I used the Camoshade wash in the end.

When I started out painting them I didn't intend them to be quite as loud! But decided what the hell, how can you make troops that run around in yellow pyjamas anything but?

Now when I look at them I think it reminds me of the The League of Gentlemen: "Tell them the circus is coming to town"
