Converting / Repositioning Beetle Back Warlords

Having just acquired another 7 of the old plastic warlord titans to go with the other 10 I already have sitting in a box, I was wondering if anyone had any experience or tips for converting them or repositioning the legs/body. Would like to get some variation in the poses rather than them all looking the same.

Anyone had a go at this?

If you get some spikey bits they look good as banelords.

Yeah, I can always stick stuff all over them. Just wondering if anyone had managed to chop one up and put it into a different pose.
