Tut tut! Clearly based on the stereotype that when women fight the claws come out! >:D

They do look ace though! ;)

They all look ace.

Except the shields on Defender #1 and the squad leader. It's ok that they're not all in a sensible position, but that one just looks like you made a base model and forgot to pose the shields...

I'd like to see what a lunged pose with the shield at the front and spear coming over the top would look like.

I keep trying to make this work with no success :P The limited range of movement coupled with the limitations of single part casting keeps blocking me!

They both look great! And to think ten pages ago I wouldn't have even considered a female armored infantry army.

BTW what I especially like about them is that while obviously they draw from a rich tradition in science fantasy wargaming, they really aren't ripping off any particular setting. A line that stands on its own, has its own unique feel, and looks this good? Sign me up!

Thanks!

BTW - Here's a visual aid about what I'm talking about - I love the pose, but that filler piece sucks - though it may not be bad at scale...

Can you get that shield any closer to the body?

I'm imagining bringing that left arm down to waist height and the shield perpendicular to the spear, and the fudge reduces by maybe 2/3ds.

it's angled out right now to reduce the open space between the spear and body - as I rotate the arm, it pushes the spear out further - these chunky suits of armor also dont allow the same range of movement as an unarmored figure has, especially in the wrists...

I was thinking of the spear coming over the top, held over the shoulder - think 300! That would also let you bring the shield in closer right? I *think* that should be castable right? Don't know if the armour would allow the "over arm" pose or if it would look good though...

[edit] looking at the model, you might have more luck if the elbow is bent and the spear is held at eye level, probably at shoulder level, not above.
