Rastamannn: It's a thin coat of dark flesh over white primer. I do mean thin and it must be over white primer to create the red tone.

Hey Vaaish,

Mate awesome work as always, I have passed the pin idea onto the creator. Do you ever have an off day mate, you always deliver the most amazing work. I am in the filed at the moment, I will check in with you on the other means soon.

Cheers
Aaron

I'm quite glad you like them. And, no, I only get days off when I run out of primer and the new can doesn't work :)

I finished up the four BR thunderhawks today. You might wonder why the photo only shows three, well it's because the fourth is still waiting for the varnish to dry. Don't ask just I hate matte varnish spray. Anyway I must say that this is one of the models I quite dislike when it comes to painting. I find there are too many rivets, especially on the canopy, that just splay the tip of a brush when you hit them spewing paint all over. :(

Anyway, enjoy. I'll be moving to a quick painting competition piece for a cancer charity fundraiser at my LGS for the next week or so and then back to the reaver so I can get that done in time for EpiComp.

Since you're posting today, I guess you weren't the big Powerball winner in SC... ;)

Great work, as is par for the course!

Quick update time. I finished up a mini for a painting competition here at my LGS today. part of the money is going for children's cancer research and the minis are going to be given to some of the kids. They let us pick from a box of Reaper Bones minis and I decided on the Nick Stone character. This guy has a brighter color scheme than I might normally do just because of the event.

Ok, time for a quick update and this will likely be the last one until I post a finished image. I've moved back to finish out Praetorian, the titan I started work on a while back. I've finished up the torso and shoulders now with a few things to adjust before moving to the weapons. I seem to have missed the red-brown in my gold mix for the torso so I need to go back and tweak that some to bring in some more reds. It's weird but the difference only showed up when I took a pic. If all goes well I hope to finish this project entirely by next weekend.

That is so awesome! The freehand is just stunning and that yellow just pops so beautifully!
