Hi psypher, am I right in understanding that you'll be designing different sets of walls which we would buy 4 of and just glue together once received? Oh, and presumably a roof tile as well? If I'm understanding this correctly, I'm sure that would help reduce packaging and therefore postage so it seems a sensible idea!

Hi Bissler,

That's spot on. There will be 4 tiles and a roof which will need assembling together. The windows and doors will be hollow, so it is easy enough to strengthen the assembled building with plastic card or foam board and block up the windows/doors if necessary. This way it suits everybody's needs and will reduce the postage costs dramatically. Separate tiles can be purchased so buildings can be customised easily enough by using 2 different ends or sides.

Cheers

Sounds good to me!

Anyway, I finally got around to painting up the first of your buildings. Excuse the painting skills... The flash has brought out a lot of my poor penmanship but they look a lot better under less harsh light.

Also, for anyone wondering, I'd been too heavyhanded with this building before painting. Those little sections that are damaged weren't received that way.

Hi Guys,

Right, heres a better photo of the first basic set plus I've included a photo of the damaged set and one of damaged/undamaged together.

Another set is on its way to nearing completion with a few extra bits on it as is the Bunker to tie in with these.

Hi Blip, cheers for the feedback, much appreciated :) . I entirely agree with you, but what I wanted to do is create terrain that is very affordable and easy to reproduce for anyone who doesn't want to spend time making it. There is plenty of manufacturers of terrain with lots of detail, which takes considerably more time to produce and cost, and therefore prices are in most cases higher.

No problem. Yep, prices seem very fair.

I am moving away from the solid and hollow buildings and will be selling the tiles that I make the master from as a kit form. From previous feedback, the majority of people I've spoken too want plain, basic scenery pieces that can be converted by themselves to create their own individual pieces.

Fair enough. As you probably guess, i like to scratch build, and this sounds interesting to me. I still think people wouldn't mind a bit more of detail. Jimmie's ideas were great for the trenches.

Might i suggest you could do a line of 6mm "bits" that could be added to your walls or "scale" down "found objects." A pack of random hatches, pipework, doors, windows, machinery, ladders, control panels, fancy steps, columns, etc would interest me a lot.

I think I'm going to concentrate mostly on the current 15mm ww2 FOW style and 28mm 40K scenery I've been doing and selling on ebay etc for the last few years with some success. I will still be producing the odd 6mm piece in resin and doing the odd commission, but to be honest, until I get a laser cutter and can churn out a lot of designs cheaper in MDF, the 6mm scenery will be resin kit form tiles that the customer puts together and the odd solid cast.

Cheers :)

The trenches do look good though. One more suggestion - any chance you can continue the rough texture on the fronts right down to the base rather than have the chamfered edge ?

Is there a link somewhere to you other stuff ?

It is all looking good.

I am one who likes to scratch build terrain (it is a lot easier for 40k) but I also like cheap simple options for when I can't be arsed ;D

If you add crenelations, you'll need a pressure pot for resin casting.

Yes. Crenelations are mighty bouble huggers.

I also fancy me on of those trenches/defense lines!

The added damage and broken down wall detail is fantastic. :)

Hello!

Looking good indeed!

I know my order for more buildings is ready for dispatch - any chance you could hold on to it until you're finished your defences? I think I'll definitely be looking to add these to the package!

Cheers!

Hi Bissler,

That's no problem, your order is cast up ready and waiting :) I'll be posting photos of new pieces this weekend hopefully. Just drop me a message again with what you want and I'll add it to the package.

cheers
