Hi!

I was informed the second one left the UK and I should be getting it in the next few days. :)

Hi!

I took a few days this week, so if it comes early in the week, I'll take pictures of the whole packing thing. :)

They are indeed quite big. But the question is, is it "primarch big!". We shall see.... ;)

Hi!

The second case came in today!

Now if you look closely at the one on your left, you can see the dent. Becuase of that dent I got at 25% discount on it. Supposedly, the second had "scratches". Both my wife and I could not find the "scratches" eluded to. I got 10% off this one for a defect I can't readily detect. That's a combined 35% off on both cases I saved over 200 dollars for these so called "imperfections".

What astonished me was that both cases were offered with photos to other people and they rejected BOTH of them. Their loss, this was a DEAL (or more accurately a steal!). You got to be pretty compulsive to dismiss a saving of over 200 dollars because of this. Oh well, I'm really happy with my buy!!!

I'll be off later this week, and will take pictures of the packing process. :)

This is what the cardboard boxes look like all tucked away.

Hi!

It also brings a nifty tray which I can see all manner of uses.

Image

A KR basic hard cardboard box for the foam trays. They are sturdy and have a plastic handle in the front.

Image

Each Box comes with a thin foam cover for the top of the stack of trays.

Glad they've arrived and I agree that is a great discount and only minor imperfections.

Hi!

All trays are from the letter "V" line. They contain 6 rows and the rectangles spaces are 30mm across. I will discuss the utility of this later. All trays are half trays, I find them more manageable, they also sell a full tray that spans one layer.

Trays dimensions

I purchased V4H preponderantly, mainly for infantry. But also, V2H, V1H and V5H. this time around it was all V trays, but I can already see the need for "D's" and J's" since the diameter of the rectangles are larger.

Hi!

Image

Unfortunately, nothing is big enough to hold an Imperator standing up. I'm not to thrilled on laying it down, but them is the breaks...

Hi!

The V4H are the "bread and butter" trays, since they fit the infantry stands and smaller vehicles. Each 1200 case has half of the total trays in this size.

Image

The cardboard of the boxes is very sturdy and will fit the trays well.

Hi!

I will finally escape the tyranny of the fish and tackle boxes. I will see how much space one of these boxes can fill on the trays.

Image

I was thrilled to see that I could fit 4 square infantry bases in one rectangular space on the V4H trays. I can also leave them to two when they have banners and such. This exceeded my expectation on how many I could fit on one tray.

Image

It is tedious to "unpluck" all the spaces. You get good at it after a while, just be careful not to pull out the dividers as they can be pulled too.

Image

I was able to fit all the winter troops in part of one.

Hi!

The first full V4H tray. The vehicles fit quite nicely.

The first row filled.

The second row.

So I managed to empty the first box with slightly less than one full case filled. That is way more than I expected.

Hi!

The second row is filled.

Image

Now to the second box.

Image

They can fill quite large models, although I think several types are better off in the wider D and J trays. I will get some of those next time around.

Three full rows.

Hi!

I like that the stands with banner fit perfectly and will be protected in these trays.

Almost filled....
