That's a nice set of armies - get playing!

The pictures led me to wonder - just how tall are the various rigs? I apologize if it's already answered somewhere in this humongous thread (o:

MoreDakka has some nice comparison shots over on his hobby blog - page 23 has some Battle Rig shots:

He's also got some hybrids on there and various other onslaught figs.

Just received my OTC yesterday. The models are simply sublime. A bit more vent flash than I prefer, and the rigs all have supports under the arms due to casting constraints, but those are mere quibbles.

My caster certainly does include a lot of vents in their molds, which results in plenty of flash - but the results are worth it imo. Most can come off by simply pulling, but some does need to be clipped off - especially on the Rigs. While annoying - it does keep all of the details I've put into the models intact.

Believe me, flash is better than miscasts or excessive mold lines, of which I've seen neither. It wasn't a complaint, just an observation. The quality of the models and particularly the sharp, crisp (and not Finecast crisp) edges on the rigs are indeed worth it.

Everything that was important was said in the first two sentences. :)

Oh no, I didn't take what you said as a complaint - I was just explaining to anyone out there who might have been wondering what was up with the venting flash on their minis.

Glad you like yours though! Looking forward to seeing how they look painted!

Oh no. You mean I have to paint them?

For the army deals, I'm thinking:

Avian Warrior Band - Brave units x 4, Kinsmen units x 2
Avian Scouting Wing - Raptor units x 2, Ghost Walker units x 2, Scout units x 2
Avian Royal Host - Serpent Warriors x 3, Kinsmen units x 1, Shaman Unit x 1, Warchief unit x1

I'm up for suggestions on these though -

The sectnids will have their own line, with giant bug tanks and the like, so won't see an army deal for a while...

They look really good with some nice poses. I'm up for a batch of these.

Bug tanks sounds interesting.

Bug tanks huh? Sounds very interesting. What direction are the Avian vehicles going to take? Any news on the rules front? Now that there are a few armies its time to roll them out. Sorry for all the questions, I'm just liking what I'm seeing...

I would prefer to see Avian deals that are all Wingless, and then a Winged one, rather than interspersed

Bugs tanks, eh? Will we have mobile infantry to face off against them then?
