Going through my bags of old stuff I found this Stormblade hull (and another like it, and I think there's a 3rd somewhere). Rather than try to track down the bits needed to make the Stormblades again I thought I'd have a crack at converting up a different style of IG superheavy tank (one that's not in the game currently), but there's a bit of a gap in my knowledge when it comes to this sort of thing so I'm throwing the question out there to people with a bit more understanding.experience of this sort of thing.

well, a Stormlord might be an easy shot, or whatever they call the one with the vulcan megabolter, but if i may speak with a bit of personal bias, I'd love to see someone make a Slaughtersword* and that seems like a great place to start

(*Slaughtersword is a vehicle i created for my Blood Pact style traitor guard list, it uses a bound greater daemon as its weapons power supply, since volcano cannons coils break easily and thus are not readily available to the forces of chaos. as you can imagine, the daemon is generally not pleased with this arrangement, and vents his displeasure on a critical hit)

Another on the traitor tip would be a Plague reaper.

if imperial is what you're looking for, how about a bane sword?

I don't have a traitor army, but if the idea is fun enough I'd be willing to give it a go.

Names themselves don't mean much to me, I need to know what sort of weapons it has (and any sort of hints towards sourciing Epic-scale representatives would be appreciated!)

An inquistion research tank - designed to capture live specimens of the imperium's foes for later investigation.

the Slaughtersword has the following text
"Operating without the logistical and manufacturing support of larger forces such as the imperium, complex and fragile machines such as the Shadowsword tend to break down, however some more resourceful thaumaturges developed a replacement. The Slaughtersword has had its volcano cannon and power supply replaced by a bound greater daemon, resulting in a shorter ranged but incredibly brutal weapon. However, when the binding is broken, the daemon wreaks havok upon its captors before returning to the warp, making it a very dangerous weapon for all concerned."

It is armed with the following weapons:
twin heavy stubber, two sponson mounted lascannons and the slaughtercannon (this is the big main gun. I'd imagine some sort of snub barrel ending in a toothy maw would be appropriate. the old WHFB Hellcannon would be a good inspirational starting point. for actual modelling, greenstuff would probably be best, but maybe some sort of monster, demon, or creature would be able to provide a suitable base)
I imagine the tank would be bound in protective sigils and wards, to stop the daemon breaking free.
