Sooo.. i went to the indiegogo site for this project and i REALLY like the Churchillian tanks. My only question is about the casting material to be used in the making of the 10 metal tanks. The renders of the item looks awesome. But, i have seen some casting that just make metal vehicles look terrible. The surface is all pitted, loss of detail and such. I wouldn't expect that you had a casting of this vehicle. But are there any examples of the quality of casting of this size vehicle from whoever it is you are going to use ?

You will have absolutely NO problem with E&C's casting; it's topnotch; arguably some of the best 6mm miniatures I have seen in the last decade have come from Troublemaker designers and casters.

Aww thanks MoK. :-)

I'll be using the most expensive casters I know for the metals, and you get what you pay for.

I can also attest to the quality of the metals produced by E&C - they are first class. Often find myself noticing new details when painting then that I hadn't seen previously....

Agreed, E&C's work is top notch, I've personally only had good experiences dealing with troublemaker games.

Is there any indication of additional stretch goals/updates? The last "official" update on the campaign page is 8 days ago now, and with only 8 days left this project really seems to need a bit of a kick to get the pledges coming in again. Even if it's something like "Get to £8k (or 9,10, whatever) and all pledges above £XX get 1 free sprue". Let's be fair here - the cost of a sprue is negligable in terms of production cost and cutting down the margin in return for making better/more moulds is where the major effort in a project like this should be.
I don't want to sound pushy here - I really want this project to succeed as it could really boost the popularity (and affordability) of 6mm wargaming - but it seems like the project is grinding to a halt.

Currently I'm still waiting on the factory's latest tooling costs, but it's taking a little time as we had to re-sculpt a few of the figures to eradicate some data conversion issues.

But sure, a "pledge at least X and get a free sprue" update sounds cool beans. I'll set one up to run for the last week.

Personally I regard the total we've gotten to as a stunning and overwhelming success, rather than grinding to a halt. I guess I wasn't even all that sure we'd even get to £2250. :-)

There is no doubt it is a success (it has been fully funded after all ;D ) but (not to get too carried away) I want it to be a massive success :)

Well, I think it's half what it should have been, but hey, that's better than nothing for sure.

There we go, new stretch goal up... if we make it to £8k, everyone who has pledged £45 or more will receive 1 free sprue, and everyone who's pledged £90 or more will receive 2 free sprues!

£8k seems ambitious for the last week but who knows its worth a try and we all like freebies.

So if i may ask how many poses do we have on the sprue at this time?

Hi!

Out of curiosity E&C, once the crowd sourcing is done, what you planning long term?

In other words, you got an "orkoid" force out and a "IG-like" force and units out, so what's next?

"space-marine-like", "chaos-like"?

My wallet needs to know.... ;)
