If i still can place the turret in front, I am fine with it.

Front turret is a big no. Central is, ... well why? Rear mount is the way to go. However, as these very few images of real SPAAG clearly show, you really need to widen/lower the vehicle.

Yes, why?

That's why.

Apart from that, I agree that a lower/wider vehicle could look nice. But the hull is the apc first and any other variants second.

touché :D however, I think the APC should be lowered/widened too...

Most real world AA turrets seem to be centrally placed, I'd assume it's a stability thing.

It's based on the profile of a pair of real world IFV's (British Warrior & US Bradley).

Technically it's not an APC but an IFV, as it has a squad support gun on top. APC's are less well-armed, like a FV432 or an M113.

You are right of course. There are IFVs like that. Its just that I prefer the aesthetics of Russian IFVs. Low and yet mean...

The soviet tankers in WWII always said they wanted to ride to the battle in a lend-lease Sherman.

But no way in hell would they fight in it if they could get a T-34 instead.

if your soldiers arent cramped and uncomfortable, you're wasting valuable space.
