Legion 4 - what an odd coincidence!

The concept pic is what I'd imagine small mechs and battlesuits would look like. The larger titans would be covered with detail work, and look like mobile monuments...

Since we're already going with that mesoamerican space frogs vibe I'd love to see vehicles being step pyramid-ish / temple-ish on tracks / hover pods / giant space lizards/critters / wheels (less this since mesoamericans never discovered the wheel). SHT would simply be scaled up versions e.g. El Castillo vs Ruinas del Rey.
"Titans" would be big raised platforms with the idol on top.

Hi
If you look online you can see old 40k slann minis. Ebay defo has some under a quick "Rouge trader" search. I like the thought of them in epic.

Now I come to think of it, there is a well known forum user by the name of tuffskull who's website I stumbled accross back in 2000. Don't think its up anymore though he has a new one. I seem to remember that he posted pics of HIS slann army.

I don't think they were original minis but its worth PM ing him maybe ?

Love your work decon. Saving my pocket money for the second wave.

Acually if i think about the technology of the slann it should be evne more advanced then the necrons. maybe a seemless combination of organic and mechnikal technology? lots of warp stuff. i didn't read the rules fpr them. But from my knowledge they should be strong with warp weaponry and genetic engineering.

is it ok if i make some sketches?

that's bad-ass!

I'd suggest trying to incorporate a bit of the ancient into the design - something that would make one recall ancient ruins...

thank you :)

jup, thought about making the obelisk-type-thingies more like stepp pyramids and giving lots of gyph detail. Maybe some melee wepons? I think everything ragarding shooting should be a more abstract energie firing thing.
I am very courius about your design. You have a very efficiant style, perfect for smal miniatures.

My friend - with your concepts and my modeling, I think we could make a hell of a line here... Do you do commissions?

This is something I will be following closely.

Slann have never been done in Epic, and didn't really have much of a presence in 40k, so the opportunity to bring a whole new race to life that has never been done before in 6mm is an awesome opportunity.
I wouldn't just take the army list at face value and just make models for the units listed there, I am sure people would be happy with you coming up with your own ideas which can then have rules created for them (especially since the number of units in the list is small compared to others).

Matt
