Hi!
This reminds me that perhaps we should pool our collective experiences and make a list of "bad traders" and post it so as to keep everyone informed.
Also, I would recommend that people who are making deals can perhaps ask if someone on this forum knows the seller and has had experience with that person.
The more we share information the better protected we all are.

That is not a bad idea, and I would be prepared to set up a closed thread that people could submit the details of people that they have had trouble with. The only problem is that I dont want it to seem like a slander page, and there is a danger of that. With the best will in the world, many problems are not one sided, and there is a risk of getting caught in personal differences. I would hesitate before going to the kind of extreme, but a list of good traders would be more useful.
As for burns, the best that I heard (not on me) was a guy who bought a 40K Marine Box, and all he got was the box. Technically, that was what he was bidding on. I have only been seriously burned once, and that was through a personal sale on another board. I try to feel better by reminding myself that I split the potential order and so didnt lose as much as I could have.

Hi!
A good traders list would be a good idea as well. As for a bad trader list, perhaps one where only those included would be offenders with 2 or more incidents. Then again perhaps its not worth the hassle, since as you mention, it would be too easy to slander someone by getting them on the list.
Although you could be the final arbiter on who gets on. Its one thing for a relatively unknown poster to mention someone for the bad trader list as oposed to one of the forum regulars proposing someone is added to the list. Also, you can ask for proff, in the form of e-mail interactions and then judge it meritorious or not.
Of course that invloves too much work and may not be worth it.

Well, thinking about this further reminded me of the Internet Traders Database (which I cant remember the URL of now, can anyone remind me?). This might be a better idea for this kind of thing. What do people think? Of course, we could additionally keep a list of good traders.
