I've decided my Corvus Assualt pod Ordinati Minoris need a heavy servitor type arm on the back for lifting loads and salvaging battlefield relics.

Any idea how to do this or source it?

standard response would be the grabby arms from the front of the plastic ork gun wagons

if you wanted something bigger, perhaps the arm thing on a 40k tech marine/adept/servitor

Tech marine arms could do it, but the servators are a bit too fleshy IMO.

There is also this beast from Battletech:

He's really expensive and I didn't see the grip parts in the Scrap yard part of the online store, but you can always ring them up and ask if you can buy the arms separate.

Or this guy:

The scrap yard section of IWM has the grippy arm available for $1 each

(out of curiosity, does this mean you've been using the CAP minorus?)

it means having built nearly all the possible permutations of the dark admech-demon engines and also recently salving some good admech terrain from a skip, I'm sort of filling in ordinati minori too.

EDIT:

hmmm. the iron worlds stuff looks interesting and the ork vehicle seems pretty obvious. I was hoping for something a bit neater, almost looking like the attached.

Spartan have a nice parts service:

http://shop.spartangames.co.uk/SearchRe ... 100&page=2

Most of the stuff looks good as 1/285 scale bits as well as the nominal 1/1200 scale.

In particular, I plan on using this crane on my Ordinatus Majoris:

http://shop.spartangames.co.uk/ProductD ... Code=DW139

but there are a lot of leg bits that could be used to build something larger and more articulated.

Solar Empire Marines line has a set of construction Mecha (think Aliens on the Sulaco). Handy for variations and smaller buts.

Brilliant - thanks everyone. Got to put my thinking cap on now.

(grumble about GZG's lack of photos)
