I hope his stuff doesn't get cease and desisted (might be better to order sooner rather than later if you want things, just in case), as it's good to have and he's working on a Pre-heresy Space Marine Battlebarge for BFG. His ad-mech tank factory and other scenery bits look decent.

I was tempted by the SM Drop Pod proxies, till I saw that they're only 2cm tall and so out of scale. I hope the several new IG vehicle proxies are better sized.

The are titled: 6mm SM Drop Pods, so I'm hoping they are to scale. I'll let you know as I've ordered some...

PS my bank-balance hates you for posting this.

Yeah I think he's crossed the line with this last batch. Coupled with the fact that suddenly that store front is now on every forum, a few that are known to have members that are quick to report IP heresy, I expect a C&D in short order. Shame as the BFG is good stuff that has been made from scratch.

White Strong & Flexible material means they're going to look like they're made of sandstone...

Edit: the names have been changed since yesterday. They're far more generic now but not sure that's going to make a difference. After all, we know of a friendly water mammal that had unique names for interesting things.

FUD is an available material. Or at least when I got the Strike Cruisers way back when it was. Don't think I'd suggest the 6mm tanks and arty to anyone. Better than I could make but I'd rather buy from TMG, Onslaught, and EW right now.

I've just placed an order for his BFG Strie Cruiser and Torpedos, first purchase on Shapeways. Expected ship date is 27th but I'm not getting my hopes up...

I don't see how the BFG stuff can be taken away, provided it is not called BFG...

^agreed^
Those are unique designs. Call it a star cruiser or something else generic and it's kosher.

What's it like, especially in comparison to Frosted Detailed?

He's added 3 new designs since yesterday, so keep checking if you're interested keep checking back.

I really wanted to like and buy the Battlebarge, but now th final design is on sale I'm nit fussed and am going to pass.

Yeah its not a barge at all but would make for an interesting grand cruiser I expect.

FUD is a resolution of .3mm vs .5mm IIRC

I'm tempted by both the Barge and Cruiser, uncertain whether FD is ok or I should go with FUD. What setting did you go with for your strike cruiser Glyn?

I should also mention that my first order to Shapeways they stuffed up quantities of fighters etc, but were very good at correcting mistake so no complaints. Pics of them here:

Ultra frosted as I don't mind paying for (possible) extra detaill, but I've never seen a shapeways model in real life and I don't know enough to comment on the different materials.

I did see that thread and I bought a torpefo set from him off the strength of it.
