They were always plastic (them and the Hellbore). They came off a 1/72 WWII tank kit if memory serves. I bet someone here knows which kit exactly, there was a thread about it a few years back.

Now, I collect this very boxset as often as I can. You don't see as many as you used too, but thats way off what i'd pay.

Actually, you would be surprised. At the close of third edition, GW stores in the UK just wanted to get rid of stock, mostly blister packs. Pretty much every store then sold every blister off for £1 each. I managed to get a large bagfull, including several large Thunderhawks. So much, that the guy on the checkout just stopped halfway through and asked for £60 because he couldnt be bothered to count any more. EVen at £1 each, I got a serious bargain as I had more than 60.... In fact, I STILL have more than 60... MiSB. :{[]

I remmember that little gold rush, but was too young and skint to make the most of it. This guy must of bought the shops store room as well ! Its the blisters still in the box that makes me smile.

This was the same time that GW Online was selling the double sized Epic sprues at £1.50 each.... I never need to buy another plastic Chaos or Tyranid model again, which is good news at the current prices!
