I am working on a damaged section of OKI wall and am wondering...

Would the majority of the rubble be on the reverse of the wall assuming the hit was from a tank or something similar to the front?

If so would this be what you would want from the model or would most of the rubble being at the rear get in the way of placing figures?

What you reckon?

Depending on what part of the tank hit the wall, it would pull rubble back out with it when it reversed up! :D

I was at work and a drunk lorry driver once crashed in to the shop next door to our loading bay- so fast that he went in to the wall about 3 foot up from the floor! When they pulled the lorry out it pulled most of the inside of the shop back out with it!

But in seriousness, it looks great so far, but always go for playability over realism!

Maybe keep one side slightly more free of rubble for play, and one side for extra damage.

ah-ha, my bad.
When I say hit, I mean shot.

I am thinking for playability more on the front...

From a playability point of view, I would have no rubble pieces at all at either side of the wall. The reason being that the rubble pieces impede stands both inside & out. I'd want to pack my fortress with infantry and/or vehicles (particularly if I was playing Eldar) so the extra rubble pieces would be a hinderance. Also, I'd like the damaged section to have a breach almost all the way to the ground so the infantry could get through (thinking of Helm's Deep in the Two Towers here). Your walls are on my shopping list and I was already thinking of building a few rubble sections in exactly this manner; this way the walls could start the battle in pristine condition but have walls destroyed during the battle and enemy troops stream in.
From an asthetic and realistic point of view though... I think you've probably pretty much done an excellent job!

Probably best to leave rubble upto the individual to add as desired.

Cheers chaps.
I will be doing it like this:

Mostly at the front with a lower breach than before.

I like it with the rubble.

The wall is being moulded as we speak using very technical specialist moulding materials:
