Yes, the only reason we want them on Excel is to allow us to customize the data tables, to my knowledge that isn't possible on PDF. Can someone set me straight if I am wrong in saying this? If we can edit PDFs, problem solved, we can just edit those that we already have.

Yep, that works a treat! Thanks DNME! Do you have others? If not, would anyone be up for each taking one race apiece?

Just found this forum recently, pity I didn't go looking long ago. I have all of the factions' data in a spreadsheet that I've converted to Excel (I use OpenOffice) and posted. At this point, I only have data from SM2nd (as I also only recently found NetEpic), but could add data from there with little problem. I made this file to support a campaign I was running recently, so the data in it reflects what I have and what was allowed. Some few things were intentionally left out: Space Wolves most notably, and a few other things I don't have models for.

First off, welcome to the forum Magnus! Secondly, thanks for sharing these!

The document is excellent, exactly the kind of thing I had in mind! As for NetEpic, you'll find that the vast majority of stats are pretty much the same. This means that any NetEpic players should be able to use the same tables and only have to make a few (if any) modifications.

I'm intrigued by the last few columns which refer to movement on various types of terrain... What are those for?

Also, I've had problems posting Excel docs here, how did you get round that?

Oh, yeah. I had it so that each unit had a number of movement points equal to it's tactical Move divided by 5cm. Different terrain types cost different amounts to move into based on each unit's propulsion type (legs, wheels, hover, etc) and unit type (Infantry, Vehicle, etc). These amounts were based (loosely) on how units can move into terrains in game. I can go into more detail on my campaign rules at a later time if you'd like.

I had no problems uploading the file. I'm using windows 8 and am in the USA, so those may have an effect, but other than that, I cannot advise.

Thought it might be for campaign movement! I did a similar thing but in the end had to give up on the idea of giving movement based on actual move rates - it meant Ork & Chaos armies had a massive disadvantage compared to Marines & Eldar.

If you are interested in seeing my campaign rules (and can excuse the shameless self-promotion), please have a look here;

viewtopic.php?f=14&t=24493

Here also is the thread for playtesting those campaign rules;

viewtopic.php?f=14&t=24706

You'll also find links in that thread for all of the battle reports relating to the campaign. I must get around to writing up the report for the final battle!

Anyway, getting very off topic, so thanks again for sharing those tables!

Cheers!

Thanks, I just hope someone can get some use out of them. Oh, the alignment of the data in the '#attacks', 'to hit', and 'save mod' columns can get a bit wonky when there are multiple lines of data for the same unit. I cleaned it up a bit before posting, but I'm not sure how well it will survive translation. If the data isn't entirely vertical in a given entry, just add or delete a few spaces until it looks good. [Admittedly, that should be obvious, but it's amazingly easy to overlook the obvious from time to time.]
