All these models look great! Those most recent ones are the first I'd actually buy though. Kinda glad it'll be a while, my painting pile is somewhat daunting atm.

The hands remind me of:

As he can testify, they are highly functional.

/Fredmans

P.S. The Avians look splendid. I would have preferred a thinner overall shape, but I understand that it would cause Forgeworld-style fragility issues and various casting problems. In dynamic poses, like in the last picture, the pot-belly is no issue.

It's amazing the difference the pose makes, makes the thickness of the belly and legs a lot less pronounced.
Any chance of having one in a crouched down "tracking" pose - as if he's examining or pointing to something on the ground, trying to pick up it's trail?

Struggling to find a picture (though sure I've seen thousands in assasin's creed 3), but kind of think of it as being the classic hunter/scout pose

Thanks folks!

I think I'm going to move these guys from a "mercenary" force into their own army category, because I think there's going to be quite a few different types. Off the top of my head:

- Chief & Retinue (winged commander and non-winged sub commander units)
- Shaman (wizard / psychic character)

- Braves - in progress (basic soldiers)
- Raptors (winged versions of the Braves)
- Warriors (bulkier close combat types)
- Scouts (infiltrator type)
- Huntsmen (snipers)
- Ghost Walkers (caped stealth unit)

- Pack Master (beast handler and hunting hounds)

- Kleok Riders (dinosaur-like beast cav. unit)
- Kleok Cannon Beast (cannon platform cav. unit)
- Kleok Bull (larger version of the Kleok)

Thoughts?

Caster said the Terran Hybrids, Abominations, and Destroyers are all being cast this week. :) The command squad was held back due to an issue with the Hybrid Prime's pose, but I just sent him the revised version a couple of days ago, so wont be long with that one either.

That is quite cool.

BTW, are you doing larger vehicles/tanks for all of your factions? Or is it just infantry?

Yup - vehicles are in the works for sure. I'm just hammering out infantry to get the ball rolling. The OTC rigs were a great exercise for "non-organic" modeling. But as some of you have seen - I have a rather large vehicle in the works:

Tartarus Command Center - This beast barely fits on a 80x60mm base. It's all ready to go - I'm just waiting for funds to build up from other sales to pay for the casting process!

Here's a quick preview of what I have in mind for the Avian Raptors:

Image

I made the feathers large with deep cuts so that a simple wash will bring out the detail.
