And Jimmy, these were resurrected (at least in the UK) by the likes of Donald Featherstone, Dr Paddy Griffith, Bruce Quarries and Phil Barker, all of whom were writing wargame rules in the 1960's and early 1970's.

I might add that I recall adverts for space marine armies on the back of DC and Marvel comics in the same time frame, but never plucked up the courage to send off for them.
