Hmmm ...some of the 10mm stuff might not be too bad ? I use some W/M bitz for Epic terrain and the like. Pics would be nice ...

Hi!
I think I-kore has too many things on their hands to tackle this right now.
Perhaps in a couple of years.

They don't have to make a game even, just some halfway decent 6mm minis would suffice. Anything to give GW some competition!
my cents 2,

Yep, spoke to one of the directors about it, but it ain't profitable apparently, although they would love to do it as SM2 EPIC was a favoured game in the studio.

Hi Guys,
Just dropping by with a (somewhat belated) update on our progress.
We're just in the process of completing our move. The new premises are currently having the ventilation systems fitted for the casting area.
We've been working on a bunch of organisational changes within the company, along with some interesting projects for release this year.
April this year should see the release of "VOID - Urban War". This expansion will include some ingenious plastic building models. We should be able to post some pics in a couple of weeks.
We've also been working on a smaller scale game for playing mass battles (plastics again), however I'm sworn to secrecy on this (on pain of pain!).
Apologies for the long silence, but we've busy as heck with with all this. Rest assured we'll be more forthcoming from now on. and keep you more informed.
All the Best,
John |

From Moray - my ex sales rep, no longer with I-Kore. Do bear this in mind.
I can't say much about the new figs but I know I did see the greens for the swordmaiden unit just before leaving.
i-Kore has gone through a tough spot (the boxed set dealys were excruciating as any store will tell and not i-Kore's fault at all). Actually I know few times before when we hit tough spots. The previous times i-Kore survived (often stronger than before) and I think i-Kore will again. There's certainly a never say die attitude with John Robertson that's kept i-kore in good stead so far.
Customer service was a gripe I had and wanted improved but there are so many hours in a day. I hope now that the company has restructured we'll see a simpler plan.
As for lost investments. I have heard this gripe too often for too many games (rpgs an cards too). I never complained when I was told my magic cards were no longer legal. I played with friends who didn't oppose the rules. WFRP out of print damn, guess I can never play again huh!
If Privateer Press went out of business tomorrow (unlikely but I'm using them as an example as most of my i-Kore stuff I got for peanuts) would I be bitter. Not really I have four forces and can field at least 500 points in each. I would continue to play and try to get stock to complete forces. So what if there's no new material I can still play. I can bust out the figs when I need a break from whatever new product took my fancy. I still got hours of play outof them and spent forever painting them. I think appreciate what you have and don't worry about the state of the company. You'll enjoy the hobby more. Sorry if this seems rantish but I think we shoul look round and realise miniatures have an appeal by themselves compared say to CCGs or CMGs which are only exciting when looking at the latest supplement. (Anyone want to buy some 40k ccg cards, no really.) |

Played a few Epic games using Space Hulk tiles ... kind of neat and certainly different ... but wouldn't want to do it all the time ! Nothing bigger than a dread ... and lots of Grunts ! Plus some Daemons etc. !
