Wow! I am seriously impressed every time I check this thread, great going Elsmore! Where did you get the fence from by the way? I think I need to up my basing game when I do my Minotaurs and Krieg.

I never actually played the Dark Future game, but I read nearly all the dozen or so Dark Future novels. OT but did anyone else read them? They were great, wacky at times but very dark. They released some new novels again around 2005-2007, though still never completed Kim Newmans series of novels with the planned concluding novel sadly.

In the UK Ratio do a N scale plastic version. Z scale's mainly continental outline and Gaugemaster uk stocks Z scale fencing from Faller it's not the type you've got though

Mattman, all these miniatures are discontinued community produced models which I bought some time ago. Since GW started aggressively protecting their IP, they are no longer available, unfortunately.

Shame, they look really nice.

To pick up your comment about primer in MikeT's thread:

I would be carefull using Dragon Red for Blood Angels if you plan to wash them a lot!
It has quite a lot magenta in it and will end up looking more scarlet then crimson.

Maybe Pure Red would work better for BA's?

I used Pure Red for my 40K Blood Angels - it's an exact match with the old Blood Red paint. Don't know if that helps.

Awesome stuff. How did you do the fence? One downside might be that the pieces look a little odd on an other than urban board :)

Yeah, I foresee a few possible pitfalls with this basing method, but since time spent on the gaming table represents a fraction of the army's existence I'm not too bothered. :)
Well put, sir! Now carry on.

Thanks for the info. I chose Dragon Red based on various painting guides. I'll do some more research.

Do you mean wash as in ink wash? I'm planning to do:

Chaos Black primer
Dragon Red
Black wash
Highlight with shades of red up to Hot Orange.

Cheers

Yep!

I go:

Dragon Red primer
Black wash
base highlighting with Dragon Red

How that comes out you'll able to see in my modeling thread!
Several layers of brighter red up to orange should make a big difference, lots of work though. ;)
