Only thing I will say is it looks in those images rather close to a granny widget and we know what they did to our last expert :(.

This design is a lot further from existing designs than anything made by scibor, maxmini, puppets war, et al.

I like it. Would it be all smooth on the top or would it have any paneling or grooves to break up the large panels?

I was going to leave the upper shell smooth so that people could paint whatever they wanted up there.
