Nice objective markers, always enjoy seeing the diorama basing people have been doing as of late.

For a better deal on textured paint check out the texture gel line from traditional art supplier Liquitex, huge 237ml containers, different textures (some better for 28mm, some good for Epic), and you can put in your own color paint to tint them whatever color you want.

Sorry to crash the thread, but which textures would you suggest for epic?

thanks! :) they were inspired by the epicomp 2011 entry from the french uber-painter Geyser (although they're about a million times worse than his sublime creation!)

I didn't realise how dark the pics are, they look brighter on my phone! TBH the vultures are quite dark anyway (I envisage them being dark so they can hide in the shadows and ambush unsuspecting enemies)

I like both of those thunderbolts, your painting skills are getting a lot better. Very nice!

nah my painting skills are staying exactly the same.....

because that way I won't be tempted to go back and work on my older stuff rather than painting new stuff..... :D

been a fair while since I last updated this thing!

I finally got my marines onto the painting station and thought I'd post up a wee little WIP of my first imperial fists/lamenters land raider

I'm aiming to get a bunch ready for the EUK big xmas game so I at least have a choice of armies, but I'm not the most hopeful...

here it be:

Looking good.

Love the grey on that first pair of TBolts. Is that just Codex?

it's a base coat of codex, then a 50/50 mix of codex/fortress, then edged in fortress

new year, new projects!

I've gotten to a stage with my Steel Legion where I'm happy to consider them finished.... other than a couple of rough rider formations, which will be shared with my Krieg force, and some much needed manticore batteries, I'm considering the steel legion completed!

below are some pics of the completed lot:

and here are some pics of (two of) this year's planned painting projects....

Imperial Fists

Orks (missing 6 fighta bombaz which are currently bathing in fairy power spray)

Other than this, I've got sizable Eldar, Tau and Krieg forces which I'm aiming to work on this year as well!

Happy new year everyone and it's time to get painting!
