Fun build :)

I found The Army Painter uniform grey good for covering junk model buildings, fast way to knock all the different colours and textures into better cohesion. Then just Liven it up with a quick white drybrush and some black in the crevices. Uniform grey spray over some buildings made in a similar manner to yours: http://www.taccmd.tacticalwargames.net/ ... 28&t=17591

The painting took a lot longer than the building...

The spraypainting was quick enough...

The paint hasn't dried yet, but here it is, as good as finished.

Anyone got any suggestions as to what this building might be?

I had a think but didn't come up with anything other than an observation tower...

I have 2 undercoated pieces of package here too
Still not sure where to use them but they can be vast bunkers or administration buildings

Thanks all for the kind comments - yours made me laugh Man of Kent!

Apologies to those reading this outside the UK. It must read like the ramblings of a madman! I can only wonder what you made of all the "humour" in my posting Ulrich!

Is it a research station on a remote moon ? Or a sentinal position upon a squat mountin stronghold maybe.

Its as big as a Titan anyway. Very cool.

Two more rapid builds. First up, an egg box becomes a base!

Very simple, just chopped up a box and some empty medicine pill packets. Glued the pill packaging to the side of the box, spraypainted it, hand painted the red & blue, and then covered with a rinse...

And then, spraypainted some interesting bottles, flipped them upside down, and glued together two old sprue sections on top to create this fuel depot thingy.

Stick an old ziptie on the side to give you a ladder up to the top of the silos, and a coupld of bits of old pen pipe around the bottom would look good too.

Awesome opening to the blog!

Love the idea about the zipties, brilliant idea maddoctor! I'll try and add that tomorrow & update the post!

Re the pen pipes, run them off the bottles and into the ground do you reckon?

Glad you are enjoying the blog! I'm sorry the latest posts were rather brief and humourless, I'll try and get back to my old ways!

i stole the ziptie idea off someone else here. can't recall who now.

Pipes could run anywhere, I just think you need something to break up the bottle shape a little.
